Stayed here for a week in April 2012. One of my favorite hotels ever. Here's why:

- Great location. Springdale is a nice town, the hotel is close to the park, and there's a shuttle stop outside.
- Large room, with space for up to 6 people - two queens and a pullout sofa, kitchenette, flat-screen TV
- Very comfortable beds
- Very friendly, relaxed staff. The atmosphere at the Desert Pearl is very laid back, making for a relaxing staty.
- Heated pool and hot tub with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains
- On-site coffee shop, which gave my wife and I a nice place to hang out in the early mornings while our kids slept in
- Laundry room for guests

Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Choose a poolside rooms if you gave small kids, a river side room for adults only. Upstairs rooms a...

Our King poolside room was spacious, clean, and with updated amenities. The location is great too--the Springdale/Zion shuttle picks up just outside the Inn and we parked our car for the two days we visited Zion National Park. We loved that our room had a microwave, small refrigerator, silverware and dishes, and even a small dishwasher. Great for coffee, tea, and making oatmeal in the morning. Springdale is close to Zion N.P. with good access and we are glad we stayed there instead of in the park.

There are wall reading lamps by the bed, a small couch, a table and outside chairs on the patio. The pool area was clean and had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The staff was friendly and was helpful with transit and food recommendations. We wished we had booked a longer stay! Very relaxing and comfortable for a spring vacation.

When you first pull up to the Desert Pearl you, if you are a picky traveler like I am, will immediately be satisfied with the pleasing exterior (and doubly pleased that they serve Starbucks coffee in the cafe if you're a coffee fiend like me). Check in was seamless and the girl was pleasant and informative and gave us lots of dining options.

Our room was ground floor facing the pool (119 or 109 I think?) and was just lovely. The bathroom was well appointed and large, the ceilings were high and lofty. The king bed was clean and comfy and our 11 year old said the pullout couch was just dandy. There is a little mini-kitchen that you could cook a small meal in if you were so inclined which I was not but it's nice to have a fridge etc. There is even a small table with 2 chairs which was nice. There were 2 huge windows overlooking the pool and a door to our slate patio with two wooden Adirondack chairs. It was so nice to come back from a day of ATV-ing or hiking the Narrows (highly highly highly recommend - once in a lifetime experience) to jump in the hot tub, take a shower and sit outside to relax before dinner. We loved the pool and while I think a creekside view would have been nice, the convenience of the pool right behind us was also nice. I think you'd be fine either way but if you're more into nature sounds I would skip the pool.

We did not use the laundry facility but it was clean and seemed to be getting a lot of use.

The little gift shop is cute and having coffee right there is great. There were also tons of DVDs to check out which I would imagine would be nice for families who wanted to settle the kids down at night though we never used them.

The view behind the hotel is just amazing and again, sitting in the hot tub looking out onto the red cliffs is very relaxing. Oh and the shuttle to the Canyon literally picks you up right outside of the hotel. We took that to the Zion visitor center and got on the bus at the visitor center. It couldn't have been easier and it was great to leave the car esp since we were hauling dry suits and tons of gear for the Narrows.

I just don't have one bad thing to say about this hotel and that's saying something b/c I'm a very discerning traveler. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Desert Pearl. In addition to hiking the Narrows I would also recommend the Mild to Wild Rhino tour with buddy. We did a five hour tour and could not have been happier. Seeing 800 year old petroglyphs with no one around for miles is a very moving experience.

Room Tip: Pick something close to the pool if you have kids b/c they will definitely want to visit it. Didn...

We were greeted by one of the friendliest persons I've had the pleasure to deal with at check in. It's smart to staff the front desk with such personable souls--creates a great first impression.

Spent four nights in a beautifully appointed second-floor room with hugely high ceilings and a balcony overlooking the pool. Loved everything except the noise from the pool. Lots of kids splashing about and having a grand time, often past 9:00 at night. Next time, I would opt for a room not overlooking the pool, just to enjoy more peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Get on the second floor for better views, and avoid pool side unless you enjoy the sounds of kids fr...

We liked this motel. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful with local activities.
Our room was spacious and had a lovely view. We also liked having a kitchenette in the room. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel. The price was about 170 for two people. Over two people, they charge extra. That was the only thing I didn't like. The room is very spacious with a little kitchenette area and a great balcony. Like another reviewer said, there is everything you need.

I loved this hotel room - huge, beautifully appointed, and a big deck with comfy chairs. But here's the thing: our room was in a pretty crappy location and ultimately it turned an amazing room into a somewhat disappointing experience. We had a "poolside" room, which was literally on the same side of the complex as the pool, but wasn't near the pool - no big deal, except that our big beautiful deck overlooked dirt and gravel and the road noise was very pronounced. I'm not someone who complains about noise, but the traffic, coupled with the ugly scenery below our room, made enjoying the deck impossible, which was a shame.

If you stay here - and I highly recommend the rooms - a riverside room is much quieter and nicer. I would enthusiastically stay here again, but only in a riverside room.

Room Tip: I'd recommend a riverside room, or one that directly overlooks the pool. We were in 312, which w...
