This is the place to stay when visiting Zion. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer excellent views. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park shuttle stops about a block from the hotel and hotel parking is also plentiful without extra charge. This is not inexpensive but well-worth the cost.

Large rooms, comfortable beds, great views and very friendly and helpful staff. Pool was clean and well maintained - as was the rest of the hotel. Very pleasant experience. Great location for Zion Park - feels like you are in it.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the river - very relaxing

After a conference in CA I went to Utah for some R&R. One of my student assistants recommended the Desert Pearl Inn, which is just outside the boundaries of Zion National Park.

What a GREAT hotel. The front desk staff is phenomenal, and the room was just gorgeous. After a week at a conference and a couple of days in Vegas, exhaustion had set in...but stepping in to DPI hotel room, with the Adirondack chairs on the balcony and the AMAZING view, all the stresses just melted away! The room was immaculately clean, the bed and pillows were great, and the stainless steel appliances were nice. I liked that there were extra pillows and towels in the room -- no need to make a call. The natural finishes in the bathroom were very soothing.

Need to say a few additional words about the staff: my laptop fried while at the conference, yet work must go on....Brianna at the front desk was extremely helpful in my time of need!!! Two men that work at the hotel -- Christian and Victor, were great and didn't want to take any tip money from me, even though they hauled heavy suitcases up steps/stairs. This hotel is just a lovely gem with gorgeous views and a great staff. Highly recommend you stop at Sol's Grocery down the street, and unpack and unwind at the Desert Pearl Inn.

Room Tip: Room overlooked the pool and the mountains...can't beat that!

My husband and I stayed here as part of a biking and hiking tour group of Zion and loved it!! The setting is beautiful and after a long day the hot tub and pool with the mountain range as a backdrop were magnificent. The rooms were good size with amazing view from the balcony. On the shuttle bus route and close enough to both the park and town. When I return to Zion I would definitely stay here. I am not sure about the cost as our stay was included as part of a package.

Our travel agent found us a room at the Desert Pearl when we had to change our plans at the last minute and told us we would be pleasantly surprised by the experience. She wasn't kidding! We had a suite including king sized bed, wonderful bathroom, full kitchen and living/dining room in the back section of the hotel. Our sliding doors opened onto a stone patio with steps off a grassy area that led down to the river and a to-die-for view of red rocks across the water. AND we never heard noise from neighbors. The staff was so helpful -- especially when we arrived the day that all National Parks were closed because of the government shut-down. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in Zion area. We'll be back next year for sure!
