“A true oasis in the desert”

My family of four loved our time at this property. The pool was gorgeous; the proximity to Zion could not be beaten, and the customer service was second to none. We arrived very late at night and were greeting by a very helpful front desk person who went out of her way to ensure that all of our needs were met. The river running behind the motel was especially fun for my kids and I to wade in and gave you the feeling of being surrounded by nature despite being in a town. The pool was spectacular and warm. I highly recommend this place.

This place was amazing. The negative thing about our experience here was that we only stayed one night. We had a river view room which I am sure made it extra special. The room decor was very nice with high ceilings and dark hardwood floors. The pool area was very nice with a lot of shade and very clean, outside and inside the pool.

Room Tip: Pick a river view lower level room with a walkout.

This was the third time my family and I have been to the Desert Pearl in Zion. We have always enjoyed the property, and it's easy to see why it has a great TripAdvisor rating.

The location is great, lovely pool and hot hub with an incredible view of the mountains. The rooms are modern, fun and funky with small kitchens. No restaurant on-site means that coolers and groceries are expected. This time I booked a 'premium king' riverside which was on the top floor. There are pros and cons to top floor v. bottom floor - if you're on the bottom you can walk right out to the stream or the pool. Top floor has a pitched roof, higher ceilings, great balcony and lots of light. My family, it seems, would prefer the bottom floor next time.

The Desert Pearl provide toiletries and, strangely, even a bidet in the bathroom. Shower over the bath (not my favorite), towels, pool towels, and pretty much everything we needed for our quick overnight stay.

Two things stopped me from giving the hotel a 5-star rating this time. First the bed was rock-hard and second, the fan/air conditioning 'ticked' all night long. After a long day in Zion a good nights rest is greatly appreciated, and unfortunately, we missed out on that.

So just 4-stars this time, for the Pearl's wonderful location and interesting decor, but we'll definitely be back.

This is a wonderful place to call home for whatever time one spends in the Zion area. Nicely appointed rooms (kitchenette, wifi, sofa bed, large bathrooms, bidet, tasteful decorating) located very near the main Zion entrance.

I rarely find a hotel which meets all of my needs, but this one does. It has understated sophistication and is a pleasing retreat for a good value. The pool is a welcome relief from summer heat, and rooms have balconies or patios on which one can enjoy the mountain views.

The staff is welcoming and genuinely friendly, and seems eager to please. Parking is adjacent to the rooms. Laundry facilities are on-site, as is an espresso joint. Several restaurants are nearby, as is a convenience store and two gas stations in Springdale.

The AC is delightfully quiet, and a ceiling fan can supplement that. Our second floor room had a lofty cathedral ceiling, making the room that much more spacious.

No faults here, and I am picky. I would return without question if I were in Springdale again. An easy choice!

Steps from your bed, on the balcony (of the second floor king river) is so peaceful, especially early in the morning. Seeing the light changing the colors on the cliffs, hearing the river and the wind in the trees, framed by the green well manicured grass just outside the the unit is a real treat. It was lovely place to pray, meditate, commune with nature, first thing in the morning, with a cup of fresh brewed coffee. If you stay here on a Saturday night, no need to go to church on Sunday, heaven is right outside your door.

The room and bed, comfortable, staff courteous and helpful, near all the amenities of Springdale. You can not go wrong here.

Room Tip: We also stayed on the pool side, view of cliffs and pool is lovely.

Our rooms overlooked the grassy lawn and the Virgin River. Every large room has a balcony and is nicely appointed with comfortable beds. Ideal location that is a short uphill walk or drive to the park entrance or the zion adventure company (rent the shoes, socks, and walking sticks if hiking The Narrows) and an even shorter walk the other in both directions to great restaurants, galleries, and shops. Our 3 families with teenagers really liked being in town (vs the Lodge) with easy walking access to restaurants.

This was our first stay here, and we loved it. The room was super clean, large, and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchenette came in very handy so we could have breakfast, or any other meal in the room. The fridge was much larger than the standard hotel fridge - we even fit a gallon of milk in it. We had a ground floor riverside room that had a great view of the Zion cliffs. The boys loved the pool in the afternoons after our hikes. The shuttles run efficiently, and with a stop right in front of the hotel, you don't have to drive in. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zion!
