“Perfect Spot in Springdale”
Reviewed 11 October 2009

We stayed two nights at the end of September. We had a two queen beds room in the back facing the Virgin River. The river took a slight bend by our room and tumbled over the rocks, so we opened the windows and had lovely water sounds as well as a fabulous view.

The room has a great kitchen and plates/ cups, microwave, toaster, etc. There was also a nice sized couch, coffee table, dining table and chairs. We had breakfast on our deck in the Adirondack chairs each morning and it was bliss. There's also a coffee bar at the Desert Pearl where you can get coffee, smoothies and pastries if you haven't brought in your own breakfast. As others have said, the shuttle to the park is right nearby, and good places to eat are within easy walking distance. We didn’t use our car the whole time we were in Springdale.

We’d flown in from the east coast to Las Vegas, and the Desert Pearl was a great place to arrive at after a long flight and a long drive. It’s truly a beautiful and special place.

The Desert Pearl Inn is a wonderful hotel in an amazingly gorgeous town of Springdale. The views in every direction take your breath away and the accomodations were very attractive, comfortable and are designed to fit right in with the surroundings. There is a free and very convenient trolley that takes you to the park and through the town basically 50 feet from the hotel. The hotel was a great find and so is the town of Springdale. Of course there are no words to describe Zion National Park. Would feel great about recommending this to anyone.

The Desert Pearl is an upscale yet comfortable hotel on the edge of Mt Zion National Park. The rooms are huge with all the amenities. The pool and hot tub area sit under the eve of the mountains with a spectacular view. It is such a relaxing hotel and you will need it after hiking the park all day. The hotel is located near all the restaurants in town (however most close early) We went to a mexican place the Bit and Spur which is open later and it was awesome.
The hotel is on a short shuttle route that takes you right to the park entrance. Tell the ranger that you were all in one car and the entry fee will still be only $25 for your group (vs the individual rate)

After a long day of travelling it was such a relief to arrive at Desert Pearl and find such a wonderful property. We stayed in a river front king room on the 1st floor. We were able to park right in front of our door. The room was spacious. There were real coffee mugs, wine glasses and beer glasses in the room. Dishes, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, everything we needed! The adirondack chairs on the patio were comfortable and it felt so good to kick our shoes off and walk barefooted down to the river. The shuttle stopped right in front of the hotel. So convenient!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the Desert Pearl. Beautiful grounds and views from the balcony. The rooms were very comfortable in a contemporary style - what I would call informal luxury. Loved the floor to ceiling windows, the fancy granite bathroom. The room was large with sitting area and a handy kitchenette (fridge, microwave, sink, dishes). It was nice to get into the hot tub on the beautiful grounds by the pool after hiking in the cold water of the Narrows. Good central location with shuttle stop right there.

After having stayed inside at the park lodge at the Grand Canyon and Bryce, we enjoyed being able to explore the town of Springdale and its shops and restaurants.

We liked it so much, I talked my younger brother and his new wife into going to Zion for their honeymoon in September and told them they had to stay at the Desert Pearl. The new bride said it was the nicest place she had ever stayed!

One odd thing is that they don’t have a clock on the bedside nightstand. You can get a wake up call if needed. We carry a travel clock, so it was not a problem, but unusual if you are inclined to check out the time if you wake up in the middle of the night.

Desert Pearl Inn was as wonderful as the rest of these reviews say it is. Absolutely beautiful grounds. Stayed in building by the river on the ground floor. Stunning view from our deck chairs! Microwave, small frig, even a dishwasher. We stayed for 4 nights and will be back!
