“Clean & comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

Completely enjoyed our three day stay. Stephanie and Roger were extremely accommodating and informative. The rooms were clean, comfortable with nice décor. Grounds, pool & hot tub were very nice. The Spotted Dog Café had awesome food and the Shuttle bus picks up right in front of the Hotel to tour town or Zion's Canyon. Town is within walking distance. All and All, would highly recommend and will stay again.

Room was nice and big. Not small like the chain from previous night. Seating area for watching tv. Nice sink area outside bathroom. If you have been hiking Zion, you may want to request a first floor room. Steps werea killer. Shuttle stop also.

My wife and I have stayed at Flanigans three times spanning 12 years, the most recent being earlier this month. The rooms are spacious and well designed and most have beautiful views of the surrounding red rocks. I would certainly recommend the deck and patio rooms where the views are abundant. Management and staff are very service oriented. Front desk personnel were all helpful and informative. They just couldn't do enough for us. Being off season, the room rates were unbelievably low even though the weather was fine, sunny and 65 degrees each day. The food and ambience at the attached restaurant was also excellent. And...Zion National Park is so close to Flanigans and what an unbelievably beautiful and accessible park it is. This is a great vacation stop!! Although we're from the east coast, there is no doubt we will be in the area in the coming years and the next time, we plan to spend more days at Flanigans.

Room Tip: The back patio rooms, 207 and 213, provided decks and wonderful views of the red rocks.

Flanigan's is so convenient -- close to the park entrance -- AND so reasonably priced. But, best of all, it has comfortable and inviting rooms. We stayed here for our visit to Zion - and will certainly do so again on our next trip. The staff members are friendly and helpful.

We arrived later in the day to Zion, in the off season. We drove through the small business frontage there and based on some reviews we had read, our first stop was Flanigan's Inn. We were welcomed, offered a reduced, off - season rate and a key to check out the room. Tiffany was very helpful and let us have a look at a couple of rooms. We wanted to capture the late day sunshine and so took room 217. The rooms are spacious and have a really nice sitting area outside of the room. There is a pool (which was not open) but the hot tub was, which we did not use, but it was in a very nice spot. The linens and towels are very nice and a most comfortable bed. A really nice sitting area with good lighting. There was a small refrigerator and coffee for the morning. The lobby was very beautiful and there is a spa, again, we did not use, but in future would love to spend more time and enjoy the facility more. We would highly recommend this resort. All of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Restaurant was not open. But no problem finding something nice.

I've stayed at Flanigan's on two prior trips to Zion, and I'm making plans for a third.

First thing-- their prices are very low, at least in the off season when I go. Don't be fooled into thinking this means sub-par accommodations. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are firm and warm, and everything looks clean and pretty new.

When I've been there, my room has been quiet, too. Part of that may be because the rooms are grouped in three or four different free-standing buildings, so everyone has their own front door. (And part of it may just be that I was there in the low season, and the place wasn't full.)

The desk staff are intelligent and helpful. They seem to be locals, the ones I've talked to, and they know the region. The wireless internet works, and it's free.

Their location is perfect for Zion N.P. visitors. They're literally right next door to Zion Adventure Company, which are outfitters and guides for the park. ZAC rents all sorts of hiking and canyon equipment if you need it, and they run a shuttle bus service to all the trailheads. Going in the other direction, it's only a half mile to the park rangers at the visitor center-- maybe a bit less. Walking distance, anyway.

Flanigan's has a decent restaurant attached, although it's only open on the weekends in the low season. I've only eaten there once. It's not like fancy big-city Michelin-starred cuisine, but the chef is a professional. My meal (fish, rice pilaf, vegetables) came from a good recipe and was nicely seasoned and well presented. The servings were generous-- I'm a big guy, and I appreciate that after a day of hiking. I don't recall the exact price, but it wasn't excessive-- maybe 35 or 40 bucks including a starter, the entree and a beer. Something like that anyway.

When you put Flanigan's location and the value for money together, I'm not sure why you'd want to stay anywhere else on a trip to Zion. Definitely worth checking them out, anyway.

Incidentally, if this sounds like too gushing a review, I have no affiliation with Flanigan's. Just an old Canadian guy, who likes to hike in the desert in the winter.

The rooms are very spacious, clean with sitting arrangement. Good coffee and tea are available on the counter desk in the room. The price is reasonable for Springdale. We have checked into other places, they are far more expensive and not as good. There is a very inviting lobby at the reception where you can help yourself to coffee, tea, and lime and peppermint water. It's very comfortable to relax in the lounge with nice sofas, a computer corner and big windows which help to light up the whole lobby pleasantly. The personnel at the reception are very friendly and helpful. We were there during the shut-down and they made excellent suggestions as alternatives to the national park. There is also a self-service laundry room conveniently located. The location can't be better. A few minutes walk and you are right at the National Park. To walk to downtown Springdale is also not far either. Flaningan's Inn also offers a very reasonable breakfast which you can't resist.
We stayed here just for 3 nights, wish we could have stayed longer. A very relaxing place to be at. Just wonderful and thank you for all your helpful advice of where we should go especially the one about the Kolob Terrance Drive in close by Virgin. We had a great day, admiring the beautiful sceneries, the birch tree woods, the Kolob reservoir, the pic-nic at the Kolob General Store and the seeking of the Creation Cave. All comes to make a perfect day for all of us in spite of the shut down.
