Loved my stay here, great location for exploring Zion. The staff were really helpful and made recommendations for the area. Nice big rooms and a lovely pool and jacuzzi for relaxing aching legs!
Definitely recommend this place

We found the Historic Pioneer Lodge through Hotwire and got a great deal for a few nights - Springdale hotels are a little pricey because of the awesome access to the park. This hotel seems like it was recently renovated. It is very basic, but clean and nice. The staff are very friendly. This isn't luxurious, but very convenient and a good value.

OK, this was just a one night stopover, but here's some info for you kiddies . . . . .

Small room, cramped bathroom, rather dark. The safe didn't work in the room (rather the owner turned them off as the "run the batteries down"), and manager didn't really want to switch it on for us. Offered to keep our valuables at reception. Room was very clean for what it was.

Their restaurant however was superb, cheap food and lots of it. If you want a $80 stopover without breakfast then then this is adequate, but no more really.

Room Tip: No tips for or against.

If you're planning to go to Zion National Park, this is a great place to stay. The town is small and artsy, the scenery is spectacular, and this lodge is very centrally located with onsite parking. The rooms are rustic, clean, and comfortable and have air conditioning, microwaves and refrigerators. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is also a restaurant on the premises that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had dinner one evening and the food was very tasty and the staff was friendly and professional. A shuttle bus that takes you into the park is very close by and an easy way to enter the park without having to worry about parking.
