Beautiful house, the colour , the rooms, the food and the local tavern 304 :) what more can one ask for .. my husband, daughter and I stayed at this heritage place and enjoyed every bit of it ..sitting on the balcony one gets to enjoy one's hot cuppa tea while staring at the green fields :) Our host Pamela is great company and enjoys a good convesation. They also have pets Pheobe (apso) and Chicane (lab) who are a delight. My daughter enjoyed their company :) The Batim lake is close by and one can stroll into quiet village roads and sit by the lake. We received a tour of the beautiful house with Nicole. Also a peek into a Goan batism party and enjoying the songs.

This homestay is everything you can ask for and more. Beautiful goan architecture, amazing food, stunning art covering every wall and the most warm hosts who will show you a great time and give you a walk through goan culture.
This place is a must stay if you're looking for some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the North.

Most homely place serving authentic Goan food. Enjoyed thoroughly for 4 days in August 2017 between 24th to 27th. The nearby Our Lady of Guadulupe Church made it all the more appealing to us. With greenery all around it was a respite for the eyes which saw only a concrete jungle in Mumbai. Its location is such that one can easily reach Mapusa or Margao within 40 to 45 minutes in a car. Even Dabolin airport is just 35 minutes away by car.

Comfortable rooms, comfortable bed, good shower, English Movie channels. Very helpful host who will help you sort everything out. Other staff give great and attentive service. Fabulous food in their restaurant. Prawn curry was my favourite but everything was excellent. Not walking distance to places but set in a beautiful lush green village and taxi service can be arranged by the host.

Staying at Casa Menezes is like living in a colonial era bungalow far away from the madding crowd that North Goa has got associated with over the years. Over 300 years old and situated very close to old Goa, this mansion has remained with the Menezes family for generations now. One can't help but be awestruck by the sprawling property and its majestic architecture. Located in the sleepy village of Batim, which is replete with several beautiful bungalows and churches reminds one of the rich colonial heritage of Goa. Casa Menezes is a heritage home stay where the Menezes family still resides. Stately rooms, four poster beds, arched windows, verandahs and balconies are the hallmark of the place. 304 Kitchen and Tavern, located just across the road and run by the Menezes family offers authentic Goan food along with lovely live music and drinks. Crab Xec Xec, Prawn butter garlic, fish Cafreal and fish Reichardo among others are worth a mention. Home made Bebinca simply stands out. Infact, the food on offer is one of the best that I have had in my last fews trips to Goa. Also, the restaurant manager is knowledgeable about the menu and gave spot on suggestions, so much so that we blindly followed his suggestions after we liked his first few recommendations. David, the man behind Casa Menezes, gave a few good suggestions in terms of offbeat places to visit nearby. These places, are usually not in the radar of a typical tourist, and turned out to be fantastic. All in all, a truly experiential stay if one wants to see the Goan way of life from close quarters. Only one sore point; the owners should make it a point to take interested residents for a walk around the bungalow to make them aware of its rich history and related anecdote.
