I have stayed here three times now and it gets better, a luxurious room with the most wonderful views. I invited some colleagues up to sample the cordon bleu food which mine host produces from the AGA. We started with pre-dinner drinks and were called through to the dining room where we dined on fresh pate with leaves followed by wild venison or locally produced lamb chops with local vegetables. A delicious dessert of a fruit tart garnished with berries followed when we retired to sumptuous settees to partake of luxury chocolates with coffee and brandy. As I sat in the heady atmosphere that had been created I imagined that such a great gourmet as Clement Freud could have sat in the same room with a satisfied grin the width of Lincolnshire upon his face. This place is a must to visit if you like the better things in life.
