Visited for two nights as part of the Adventure Company Saharan Sands Experience with a ten year old boy and a 7 year old girl. Great insight into Berber life and contact with local Moroccan people. The accommodation is basic deliberately as it's real and allows you to experience sleeping in a mud built home. Hence it's dusty and simple. How ever there are clean western style toilets and it's contained in a secure compound so the children are kept safe and hygienic. For us this was a great experience and just what we were looking for. No pool and no activities means you have to make your own entertainment or chat with people. Skills and abilities our children needed to appreciate:) The food was prepared by Sayeed (I think this is spelt right) and he runs the site. It wasn't until we moved to other areas that we truly appreciated the skill and authenticity of the cooking here. It was absolutely delicious or yat fout as you say in Berber. Sayeed's Berber omelette was amazing as were the beautifully fresh salads and excellent tagine dishes. We were treated exceptionally well by Sayeed and on reflection our stay here was one of the highlights of our adventure. I would highly recommend if you want an adventure and some realism. Stay away if you want luxury and gadgets. This place is about the genuine value of good company and good food. It gives the Moroccan perspective on life.
