We stayed here for 3 nights as we got a good discounted rate by booking online. The room was clean (althugh a very pungent damp smell was present throughout our stay), with a/c, cable TV and a good comfortable bed. The breakfast and service provided by the staff were really good too. However, the room should have been $25/night which given what else is available in the area seems somewhat overpriced. We stayed 5 minutes further down the road on our 4th night and got exactly the same facilities and service (in fact, we had a bigger room which smelt much fresher!) for $15/night. Probably worth going to their sister hotel down the road which offers a swimming pool and much nicer rooms for only a bit more money.

Dear Emily,

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you appreciated our rooms, breakfast and the service offered. I will look into the bad smell your experienced and i wished you had told me as i would have offered you to move to another room.
As for the price, i am surprised that you found us expensive. Most of our guests tell us that we are a very good value for money hotel and we are proud of that. We only use quality products in our rooms and restaurants, pay fair wages to all our staff. As you mention our second hotel Ban Sabai, you will be happy to know that all the guests of Inthira are welcome to use the swimming pool of Ban Sabai.
I wish you safe travels and hope to see you again in Vang Vieng.

Thongsay,
General Manager

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it.
The staff was really helpfull and the manager his english was also good.
We had an superior room on the second floor and we had no complaints about it.
Just next to it they are building a new hotel and started to make noise around 0800 but this had nothing to do with Inthira.
We used 2 times the pool from the sister hotel down the river.
Breakfast was good at the hotel, you get a small card to pick your breakfast.

My girlfriend and I had a superior suite and loved it. We stayed 2 nights and had a big balcony, shower, and room. The location is fine--right next to the bus stop in town. The staff is the best we had during our trip to SE Asia. They set everything up for you and make you feel at home--which is something you need when traveling for a long time. I recommend this is an affordable, great place to stay for couples looking to have a fun time tubing for 1-2 days in Laos.

Room Tip: superior suite-second floor

We were a little unsure about visiting Vang Vieng at all because of its reputation as a crazy party town for very young travelers. We came across Inthira when we first arrived, and decided that we didn't need to look any further.

The price was around $22 per night and included breakfast for two. We found the room to be clean and comfortable. The hotel is located a bit away from the river (about 10 min walking) but that meant less noise from the bars.

Overall, we would say that staying at Inthira is a pretty solid choice. It is not a hotel that will "wow" you, but we were pleased with our 3 night stay.

On a side note, if you go tubing down the river, WEAR A LIFE VEST! We saw countless people tubing blackout drunk, sharing a tube with 3 people, and wearing no life vest. Don't be stupid. It's all fun until someone dies, and in Vang Vieng that sadly happens about twice a month. That being said, we tubed down the river twice safely and responsibly and had a great time!
