The Inthira is a good place for basic accommodation at an affordable price.
Considering it was so high up on the Trip Advisor accommodation list I expected much more but when you factor the low cost in you realise the good value.
The shower situation is my main grievance. The whole bathroom is the shower and water flows from one corner to the next which makes the toilet unusable for some time after each shower.

We expected more from Inthira as we booked it as a treat to ourselves, giving us a break from dormitories. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately, the room felt damp and after leaving our luggage in there for an hour or 2, so was the luggage. We asked to try a different room but it was identical. The room cost three times more than the room down the road that we changed to and wasn't much better. Not great value for the room. On a positive note, the breakfast is fantastic.

From first arrival everything was great, the manager (I think) a'noy helped us woth everything, gave us great room rates and offered meal discounts. My partner and I had the deluxe suite, it was very nice for only $35 usd per night only problem the bathroom had no glass window it completely opens up so everybody in the places beside the hotel can watch you shower. If you keep the window closed (we did) you have to turn on the light even during the day which doesnt seem very environmentally friendly to me. The food in the restaurant was good but complimentary breakfast came with 2 fried eggs and a single strand of bacon very underwhelming. All in all a great place to stay while in laos, a'noy is doing a great job.

We had a room with a balcony and French windows that opened . The bed and pillow was okay . The first night we stayed in a standard room , which was very small so the next few nights we stayed in a superior room .
Our room had air conditioning , a large bathroom , a bar fridge
and complimentary water . Breakfast was basic but okay and the night we ate at the restaurant the food was good and well priced .
We paid $28 usd per night which included our breakfast .
The reception staff organised our day tour to the cave and our onward travel . All staff members were helpful beyond there job requirements .

Room Tip: It doesn't cost much more to stay in the superior rooms and they were definitely better

This is a nice little hotel in Vang Vieng. The breakfast is really good and has some options to choose from, a fruit platter, orange juice and coffee/tea. The room is comfortable, AC is really good and the bathroom is lovely. There seems to be too many staff doing literally nothing, and even though there's a surplus of staff not everyone is quite on the ball when it comes to customer service. Still we had a very pleasant stay, and the restaurant is unreal. You have to try the marinated bbq beef or the Vietnamese beef steak. Curry is also good here!

I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. The location was good as Vang Vieng isn't a very big place anyway. Not all the staff could speak English but the ones that did were excellent. Very friendly and informative. The room was very comfortable. The only down side was we didn't have hot water in our shower. They serve nice food in the restaurant and the breakfast was nice. I would recommend staying here.

Stayed in the Inthira for 3 nights to break up the usual tourist trek from Vientiane to Luang Prabang. Great sized room at a good rate, everything about the place was clean and staff were very pleasant and helpful.

A staff member even helped us hire bikes for the day across the road (no doubt with a local speaking on our behalf they didn't require us to either sign our life away, give our passports to complete and dodgy looking hiring operators, or pay outrageous deposits to have the pleasure of a push-bike for the day which other hiring places were demanding...Very much appreciated Inthira!)

Internet was incredibly slow but no worries as there's heaps to do outside.

Breakfasts included in the room rate were great, and a 10% off other meals in the hotels restaurant (and the Baan Sabai) is a nice touch too! Apparently by being an Inthira guest you can also use the Sabai hotel pool for free, pity the pool there is average at best, not clean and small when we saw it!

All in all a great place, not by the River, but thats no dramas as VV is small and easily walkable - worth a visit to the Inthira.

Room Tip: We were downstairs and rooms were great, however upstairs looked pretty cool with a large shared bal...
