Stayed for 2 nights in January 2014. The location is a five minute walk from the main street in Vang Vieng. Rooms have tv, aircon and complimentary water and are clean with decent bed linen. There was one mosquito net between two beds which wasn't ideal as it did not cover the single bed. The shower was a bit unsatisfactory with difficulty in getting warm water at times and what water there was tending to splash everywhere as there was no shower curtain/door. While there is wifi, coverage is patchy and quite slow. Breakfast was ok.

Reviewed 25 February 2014

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2014 and paid $120,000 kip for 'river view' room (double).

This place is a bit out of town and we wanted that to avoid too much noise at night. The first night was quiet but the second night was loud due to some people partying late in to the night right outside. I'm guessing that's not the norm though.
We noticed that the doors (to the room and to the bathroom) were so creaky that you could hear other people opening and closing their doors - a bit annoying if you're a light sleeper. Also, our bathroom door didn't close completely.

Hot water didn't work in the shower the first day. After I mentioned it to the staff they fixed it, which was nice.
Unfortunately the toilet and sink leaked, so the bathroom was always wet.

The hotel does't have a view of the water but you can see a bit of the mountains. There's a little balcony attached to the room, which is nice.

The staff weren't very friendly and they did a poor job on our laundry.

If you have any mobility issues, the upper rooms aren't a good option as it's a steep, long staircase to the second floor (very deep steps).

I really enjoyed my stay here, our first day here, we hired bike from up the street, which was fun. The cabins were clean, air con and a fan in the room, which u really need as its hot even in the rain. The beds are comfortable, the problem was its still under construction so the toilet and the sink leaked when used, love the llittle balcony with wooden table and stools. Didnt have breakfast here as was told the service was slow but there is a lots of local places to go which is very close. It is a family run place too.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and location was tucked away in a quiet corner away from the main street. The room included complimentary water, air conditioner, t.v, and shower (although on the last day when I tried to use it I only got dribbles of water coming out, I assume the lodgings itself are still undergoing maintenance). I did not have breakfast here as I was told service is quite slow but there are plenty of good little eateries on the main road.
The owner may seem to come across as cold and aloof but that's not the case, he impressively built the lodge by himself and his family help run it, they are lovely people when you engage them.

This hotel is set near the river a few minutes walk from the town center. We stayed in the main buildings as opposed to the bungalows. Our room was a new one. The room was large with a balcony and large bathroom. The balcony had a really nice view of the river and mountains. The aircon didn't work so well as we couldn't seem to get the room cool. There was only one set of plugs which was behind the tv far from where they were useful. The lady who checked us in was really nice. We found it strange that when we went to the restaurant at 4pm the kitchen was closed because the cook was gone home. When we did eat here for breakfast I had to change my order a few times because they were out of so much. I did like the room and enjoyed my stay here despite these little glitchs, i would return

Not bad place. Not far from the centre of Vang Vieng close to the river. We have paid 130 000 Kip (17$) for cozy room in cottage - with AC, big balcony, and some times with wi-fi . View is not perfect - we cant see a river and hills. But very good staff - nice lao-woman .

The rooms at this guesthouse were all on stilts and surrounded by banana trees. Vang Vieng is such a small place that it was walking distance to almost anywhere. The guesthouses are set back from the main road and down towards the river so our experience was very quiet and tranquil. The service was very good and the restaurant was decent (we only had breakfast there).
