“Totally Unexpected Beautiful View from Room”
Reviewed 2 February 2013

This was an overnight stop on the way to Vientien. It was a surprise all around. The views from the room on the river were just beautiful. The dining area was an outdoors facility, also overlooking the river. Food was good, including a fine breakfast. It was more than adequate and a very nice surprise for a quick overnight stop.

We stayed in a garden room and were fine not having a view from there. The views from the restaurant and the garden area along the waterfront are spectacular. Really amazing and the sunset was great, too. The grounds are beautiful and there are very lovely flowers all around the patio area. Rooms were spacious, good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast buffet was decent and I really liked the yogurt/muesli option (just had to request a yogurt), and the fact that they put out milk for the coffee. Definitely recommend staying a night or two here just for the view and grounds.

This hotel is just down from the main road of restaurants and bars in Vang Vieng (2/3 mins). This means its one of just a few hotels that have direct views over the river and the views of the river with the mountains behind are incredible. Our bungalow room was really nice but quite average - the view though from the outside seating areas is anything but.
The restaurant at the hotel has some of the best views of sunset that you could ever see. Its a great place to stay and really good value for money just for the views alone.
Breakfast is mainly very fresh croissant and breads and is delicious, the service is probably average, but i'd go here again every time.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a riverfront view

Overall, a very pleasant stay in the superior river view room. Large rooms and bathrooms, great view of the river. Even got to see the hot air balloon taking off across the river one morning. Breakfast quite good, they know how to keep the baguettes warm without drying them out.

Room Tip: river view rooms are very nice and worth the few extra bucks

It was a relief after a long bus ride from Vientiane to get into the rooms which where clean with large beds, a bathroom with a decent shower attached and a beautiful view of the hills from the outdoor area. The food service was quite slow at breakfast and lunch however the restaurant was so nice it made up for the lack of speed. Once the doors where locked insects could not find their way into the rooms however they did gather in the corridor and outside so fast locking is required.

What a gem, and great half-price on Agoda for the riverside suite. An absolute must! Good wifi, but make sure you book a king-sized bed, their twins are tiny. Beds a bit hard as well, but all in all a good stay. We also booked a private minivan to Vientiane and he came on time and an easy transaction.

Room Tip: Suite 5 was great!

Fantastic views of the sunset and sunrise. The resort had a beautiful garden with swings and gazebo. We had a balcony from which we could sit and enjoy the mountain view each day. It is situated at the start of the motorised river boat and the end for the kayaks. The breakfast was limited (but had croissants!) but we enjoyed the owner playing the guitar during the meal. Slight downside was the thin walls meaning less privacy. Our TV wasn't working but who cares with view like that. Ideal location in VV to adventure out, then come back and sit on the balcony n chill.

Room Tip: of course, pick the river-facing ones
