“Easy to forget time”
Reviewed 8 February 2011

Peaceful and relaxing. Located at the end of all the resorts and from what we saw probably best location we felt. Rooms where simple and fuctional. We stayed in the 2 storey seaview room. With amazing and peaceful view of the the sea only steps away. Agent met us a Yangon for payment and arrangement for pick-up at Thandwe airport confirmed Restraunant on a little island which was amazing to watch sunset from too.
Able to rent bikes to ride along beach or thru village 1000 kyats ( You can ride thru the village then to another beach at the end walk up a small road to the buddha statue for hilltop view). Internet use (laptop at front desk only) 1000 kyats. Able to rent scooter but didnt check price.
Staff not very informative. If you dont ask you won't find out. We were not told the Internet wasn't free to our surprise at check out. The little ants are here too just like alot of places in South Asia but not an issue just don't leave food out. Also they turn off the room electricity 7am-2pm so if you have to charge your camera battery be aware, but they did turn it on when I asked with no problems.

I stayed for 10 days at Pleasant View Resort in October 2009. I originally had intended to stay only 5, but it was such paradise that I extended my stay. I was there before the peak season began, so I had the hotel to myself for much of my time there. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Ngapali Beach. I travelled for over a month in Myanmar and stayed in all kinds of accomodations. This was the best by far.

"Resort": For those of you who are looking for a typical "resort" with swimming pools, organized activities and lots of action, this is not the place for you. This is a small hotel with 2 good restauarants (one of them on an island), lots of peace and quiet and a beautiful beach. There is no pool, but you have an amazing beach right in front of your room.

Rooms: There are bungalows and a two-story building with four rooms all facing the beach. I stayed on the second floor in the two-story building and the view was fantastic! I would sit on my deck and watch the wonderful sunsets, the fishing boats, and the locals who use the beach for transportation purposes (see pictures.) The rooms are extremely clean, have lovely linens, flufly white towels (a nice treat after many of the guesthouses I stayed in elsewhere in the country), nice stone bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a fridge. The power is only available by generator from 6 pm until 6 am since Ngapali Beach does not have government provided power full time yet. This was not a problem, and the air conditioning was new and worked well during the night when you needed it.

The Beach: Wonderful, fantastic, beautiful! There are wooden lounge chairs with cushions under palapas set up at the edge of the beach. The water is warm and inviting, and the beach has white sand. It is the last hotel on the strip (closest to the fishing village) so you are away from the action at the other hotels.

The Staff: The manager and all the staff are very friendly and interested in making sure you have a great stay at the hotel. They will go out of their way to assist you and always with a smile.

Ngapali Beach is a slice of heaven. You can explore the local fishing village, walk down the road and try the charming local restaurants (I recommend Treasure Restaurant), or just stay at Pleasant View and forget about outside life for a while. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay special.

I can't wait to go back to Pleasant View - Myanmar is an amazing country and Ngapali is a highlight.

I spent one week in Ngapali beach, i arrived with no reservation so i checked all hotels on the beach.
There are great resorts on the area but extremely expensive. There re backpackers options , as well but quality and cleanliness are very bad.
Pleasant View resort (PVR) is a great option. Excellent relation price-quality/services. It s the last hotel arriving from the airport, the beach here is very open, no rocks. They re all bungalows with sea view and all facilities. Each with a terrace and chairs and as it s a new resort, everything is brand new and works perfectly. Rooms are large, comfortable, very nice designed and decorated, extremely clean and also the area in front of the beach is cleaned daily. There re sun loungers and umbrellas in front of each bungalow.
Staff is very friendly and the manager is always available and ready to help you with any needs.
Restaurant is very nice and particular as it s an islet, that depends of the tide you can reach walking or by a boat provided by the hotel. Prices, are very good, too. I saw many guests of the luxury resorts having lunch and dinner here.
I ve got a great experience in this hotel and if you are looking for a nice place at an affordable price, this is the place to go. I can recommend this hotel with no hesitation.
