This hotel is located at a very nice beach, very beautiful garden, perfect service , a very nice location for some relaxing days.
I stayed there already several times after several trips in Myanmar at the end for some relaxing days
The location is very quite, not much around.
You can reent a bicycle from hotel and explore some other beach areas close by or take a ride to the village of Thandwe.
Some local fishermen villages are nearby and worth a visit to see local live
Some small local shops within walking distance of the hotel.

We have stayed at Amazing Resort three time this year for one week. Next year we plan to stay for two weeks. Amazing Resorts is one of the place we love to tell people about but then are afraid too many people will come and change it. The beach and sea are perfect. No vendors on the beach. Very safe. The rooms are large and nicely decorated... each room has free potato chips and sun hat, along with flip flops and inner tubes. Nightly turndown service... free RT airport transportation in a classic vehicle. The staff is super helpful and friendly and like all people in Myanmar they have wonderful smiles! You can't go wrong.

The hotel was the closest to the airport, but with the least tourist hotspot, which is exactly what we wanted. The staffs are excellent, very helpful and polite. The rooms are clean and they will come by to make your bed if you are out and about in between morning and bedtime, great for family with kids. Food in the hotel restaurant are pretty good, not overly priced. Above average breakfast buffet in the morning (all you can eat), included with the package, so its a good deal. Strongly advise future travelers who seeks quietness and un-tourist place to stay. Amazing Resort would be ideal for you.

We stayed in this hotel for a week in January 2010. 'Amazing' is a good hotel (and may actually be a good value, although I am not sure how much we paid for it, as we got a package from a local agent for the whole of Myanmar trip), however, please do not be disillusioned by its current tripadvisor rating, it may be explained by the fact that the hotel management encourages tourists to leave their reviews on tripadvisor.com by placing a special note in the business center. There are much better top end hotels on the beach (at least Sandoway, Aureum and Amata, where we usually went to for dinners and SPA), however, in our case all the top end hotels were fully booked and we had to go with Amazing. We were generally satisfied and and here is a short description of what you should expect in Amazing:

Location

As pointed out in other reviews, the hotel is located near airport, and is the only one in that area. As a result, if you want to go out, for example, for dinner to other places, you will need to take a taxi (unless you go to Aureum, then they will send a car for you). However, the beach is very clean and beautiful, and sunsets are amazing. So unless you want to be in the middle of the local village, restaurants and other hotels, Amazing's location should not be a problem. However, I would recommend the management to plant more trees and plants, as the hotel area is a bit empty compared to some other Ngapali resorts.

Rooms

This is one of the best things about the hotel. While the rooms may not be anything special (again, as compared to the 3 previously mentioned hotels, which we visited), they are clean, spacious and all have sea view. The bathroom is also quite big. The only problem could be the smell of something being burned, as there are some local settlements close to the hotel, and it seems that the management cannot do much about it.

Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is very touristic and doesn't offer much variety. The food is ok, although some dishes are not very tasty. Again, you can go out and try other places for dinner. Sometimes there is a very strong smell of food, especially at the reception area and then it becomes quite unbearable. But luckily it's not always like that. Breakfasts are just ok, but when fruit is fresh, it is enjoyable.

Business center

Internet is available for free in the business center which is still quite rare in Myanmar (although seems to be common for Ngapali beach), so this was a pleasant surprise.

SPA

SPA and SPA facilities were pretty bad, to our taste. We went there for one massage and I couldn't wait when it would be over. This is one area which really needs improvement.

Conclusion: if we go back to Ngapali, we would probably choose another hotel, but if you get a good price for Amazing (and if the price is important for you), then you may get a very good value for it.

This is the only hotel on this part of the beach so it feels much for secluded than the main part of Ngapali where all the resorts are on top of each other. Lonely Planet says this is an inferior part of the beach but I totally disagree. The beach is actually wider here and the wate cleaner. The rooms are large, very clean and well equiped (try and get one at the front, right on the beach). The massages at the spa are great. The staff are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. You get assigned one waitress during your stay and it's great to get to know them a bit. My only criticism would be that they seemed to run out of food, eg chicken or fish(!) quite often and they seemed to find it hard to keep the buffet breakfast warm but apart from that we had a wonderful 5 night stay and we didn't want to leave.

It was really amazing experience on staying at Amazing Ngapali Resort. Staffs were incredibly helpful and at ever-ready to serve beyond expectation. And the beach is sort of like hidden gem, beautiful and clean but not crowded.

All of the rooms are facing sea side where the visitors can enjoy the famous and beautiful sun set of Ngapali at thier rooms without getting out. Futhermore, the beach is only a few tens meters away for the hotel rooms.

So I will certainly look for this place if I wish to be back there again.
