Stay here for 1 night during Autumn season. Room and bathroom is clean. There is pillow menu to choose your own pillow according to your liking. Ocean 700 , ski slopes, convenience shop is all in walking distance.

Buffet breakfast with wide of varieties to choose from. Room does not provide free wifi , and we paid for the wifi to get connected with a little fee.

So far the best hotel i stayed in Korea. Will come back again and will stay longer here :)

Room Tip: According to a friend (same tour) they stand near the toilet at the receptionist there to get connec...

Only spent one night here but liked the big sized room with comfortable amenities like a pillow menu and balcony with deck chairs. Bathroom is also nice-sized with rain-shower. Ski slopes are just next door, just a minute's walk away. Buffet breakfast has a good spread and of decent quality. Staff were friendly and could understand basic English. Would stay here again!

Visited Alpensia resort during Xmas weekend last Dec with my family.
Took a ski shuttle from Hongdae - shuttle website was in Korean but thankfully , my airbnb host helped me secure the bus tickets.
The shuttle dropped us at the Alpensia Welcome Centre and we had to drag our heavy luggage 10 min through the snow to the Holiday Inn reception. Check-in was easy and the reception had passable English. We were super happy to be upgraded to a kids suite - with cute bunk beds facing the ski slopes. Apparently, IHG status is recognized here! We had some welcome amenities and free WIFI as well.
The resort is quite small with 5-6 slopes, a sledding slope, a number of reataurants (15?), quite reasonably priced, Convenience stores, stores selling ski accessories, also very reasonably priced.
We spent 1 day skiing (30% off for guests including lift ticket and ski gear), 1 day sledding (also a big discout for hotel guest) and 1 day at the waterpark.
Even though we were there during the peak season, there was little crowd, no queues at lifts or restaurants.
We love the place and will be back.

We spent only one night here but we were mesmerized by this place. The rooms at this hotel were generally bigger, spotlessly clean and had one of the most comfortable beds and pillows. They provided two soft and two hard pillows which was superbly clean maybe because its new. We enjoyed our skiing and loved the idea of walking around at night enjoying the night view of the ski mountain. This place never sleeps, people skiing all night long. It was our first skiing experience and we loved it.
Breakfast was really wonderful with so many choices....we were spoilt for choices.

This is our second time at Alpensia, staying at Holiday Inn resort. We did arrive before lunch, were given early check-in free of charge. We had selected a kid room which is composed of a small cubicle where 2 bunk beds are fitted for kids. It is facing the slope.
Service at Alpensia is very good, staff is very helpful.
This time it seems we were in low season, therefore there is limited choice of food at the restaurant, buffet is only available on Saturday, same at the intercontinental. The Intercontinental offers more western type of food.
Otherwise there are few restaurants outside the hotel serving Korean food, food few good spots for Korean BBQ and Korean hot pot.
Though the overall stay is quite pricey, the resort in general is well maintained, staff is very good.
This time we did not go to the aqua park because last year we found it a bit coldish.
Should we go back: yes probably.
I would like to suggest to have the Wifi connection all over the village with one logging for the whole duration of the stay instead of having to log every 24 hrs.

Room Tip: try to select a room with slope view.

The ski shuttle bus dropped us off at the Alpensia Resort Welcome Center around 12pm (which we had no idea off until awhile later). We were a little confused as to how to walk (with our luggages) to Holiday Inn Hotel initially (no clear signs) but went in to check if anyone could take us as we had 7 luggages to carry. The concierge gladly helped us arrange for a mini van to shuttle us over to the hotel.

We stayed 3D2N at this hotel for our ski trip. We were offered early check-in at a price but decided to check-in later after visiting the ski gear rental shop and a quick lunch. However, when we tried to check-in around 2pm the staff gave us the same reply so we asked for waiver and were granted early check-in without any charges.

The room was not only large and comfy but also faces the slopes directly. The bathroom was huge too (no bath tub, only standing shower, which we liked). The staff at the front desk and concierge were always very helpful even in such cold weather (temperature went down to -15 degrees on one of the days). The hotel's breakfast although pricey (at 28,000 KRW/34 SGD per pax) had very good variety and food quality was very good. We liked it so much we had their breakfast on both mornings. Ooh and we even saw a Korean celebrity during breakfast on the last day.

I will definitely stay at Holiday Inn again should I come back to Alpensia for another ski holiday.

Other highlights: The slopes were not crowded (compared to YongPyong). Very easy access to the slopes from this hotel. Soothing ambience at the lobby lounge. Had fun at the small casino. Convenient stores and restaurants within short walk.

Things to take note: Do check your bill properly when checking out (my cousin was overcharged for breakfast by mistake but they managed to resolve the error in the end). The hotel may wish to consider placing more anti-slip mats/strips at the glass doors as we almost slipped quite a few times. More English/Chinese based information would be appreciated as well (we couldn't locate the sledding ticket booth despite following the instructions).

Room Tip: Our rooms facing the slopes are towards the end and quite a distance from lift lobby (562 and 564).
