I stayed here for 4 nights and overall had a good experience. Its away from the busy unawatuana and hikkaduwa, very quiet and relaxing place. The deluxe room I stayed in had a really good view of the boats and the weligama bay. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, the food was simple but tasty. Free wifi was available in the lobby. 5mins away from the hotel you get a very long beach that is a good place for surfing and bathing. 30mins from unawatuna and mirissa beaches.

We stayed in this hotel last month with some friends and I would like to recommend this place
to the travelers who are willing to stay down south , reasonable rates and delicious food and
friendly service. Thanks for the great staff there.

Room Tip: Deluxe and Superior rooms are much better to stay and those rooms have good sea view.

Clean and comfortable. Good location. You can see the monkeys living on the roof )
Hotel does not have a normal beach...and hotel does not have free Wi-Fi!! ....and you have purchase a local SIM card.. "Dialog" for example....Hotel food at the average level...
The rooms are cleaned every day...Quiet place.. The hotel has a nice pool.

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor)

It's taken me six months to get over the shock enough to write a review. Most of the conditions were totally unacceptable for any hotel expected to cater for European guests. This was advertised in February 2011 as newly refurbished and opening in November 2011.
At Xmas 2011: There were shards of glass 3' long dangling from patio doors and hanging over public stairwells. Broken glass sticking out at an angle in the reception. Broken sewage pipes on the beach. Dogs mess on the beach. The bay in the brochure is not the bay in front of the hotel. A huge rubbish tip round the cove which made it virtually impossible to walk past. Peeling paint on the ceilings. Layers of moss on the vents. Tree and building debri round the pool area. The pool was murky.
A lot of the amenities advertised were not available. If there were less than 15 guests the all inclusive was not available.
The chairs had the stuffing coming out of them. The sunbeds were broken with very thin mattress. There were only six of them. No beach umbrellas. The tour operater could not decide whether there was a private beach or not. There was but it had a boat moored on it. The trees in general were not checked and coconuts and fronds fell at random.
Staff very thin on the ground unless it was actually Xmas when an influx of guests arrived. Most of the staff were very pleasent and willing but didn't have much of a clue.
The Xmas Gala meal looked good but didn't taste good. I have seen much, much better in a 3* in Sri Lanka.
The shame of it is the location (apart from the rubbish tip), is superb and had the hotel been up to scratch, it would have been truly idyllic.
There were people who got used to it and made excuses like, it's a poor country and they lost a lot in the tsunami. The point is it is marketed as a hotel, we've all paid to be there and at the very least, it should not be outrageously dangerous!

Room Tip: All the rooms overlook the bay and the view is superb.

I arrived for the duration of the Galle Test, and had no pre-conceived ideas of what to expect. It was apparently not the Hotel's fault that the brochure stated there was a lift, when in fact there never has been one. I was allotted a top (4th) floor room and, as an arthritis sufferer, I was not amused at having to scale a few flights of stairs so often. That inconvenience was quickly outweighed by the friendly, helpful and welcoming staff.
The seaview from the balcony was beautiful - especially at sunrise and sunset. The quality, variety and presentation of food was excellent, and the service impeccable - and there was an endless supply of free refreshment from 10am till 11pm. What more should one want?
The Hotel certainly needs some refurbishment, and the management is aware of this. However, whenever a fault was reported, it was acted on immediately, and generally rectified.
Perhaps not the ideal location for a family holiday, because there's not much of interest within walking distance; but as a resting place for the main purpose of our visit - to watch cricket - it was just fine.

Room Tip: Inspect before accepting.
