in February 2013 my husband & I stayed 1night at this hotel. The hotel is extremely clean, very tastfully decorated in white theme. the bed was the most comfortable bed we had during our 3 weeks in Thailand. The owner,Mr.Tooh was very helpful. The location of the hotel is very central and the hotel consists out of 2 buildings.Rimklomg 1 is located along a busy street & Rimklong 2(where we stayed) is located a block further in a quiet street (at least during the day). Unfortunately it turned out that there is a bar next to it & at night singing is going on till deep in the night, you can hear everything from the room. bad sound isolation was my main problem - you can hear everything what people in the next room are doing or saying, really disturbing. apart from that, it is a pleasant hotel which is a good value for money in a good location.

In November, we stayed a couple of nites in this nice, small hotel in the old town part of Trat. Easy walk to town center and temples, and Host Tooh was most helpful. Rooms are spacious and quiet, even tho the door opens out onto a busy street-front! Good cafes and restaurants nearby, and the Reception/Bar area is most comfortable and inviting!

Room tip: As a prior review stated, the ground-floor rooms have no windows - tho it wasn't a particular drawback!

We stayed 2 nights at the Rimklong and we agree, it is probably the best accommodation in Trat.
The room a modern and the bathrooms luxuries. The location is perfect with easy walking distance to town and the night market. The only drawback is, there are no windows, at least on the goundfloor where we stayed. Since people are walking past your glazed entry doors, you always had to draw the curtins, which mad it a bit clastrophobic. Mr Thooh is fantastic, very helpful in organising your island trip.

Room tip: May be an upstair room is more private

We arrived in Trat and were scheduled to stay in a super basic homestay. My daughter and I went out to see the city and passed this absolute gem but thought "no way, this will break the bank" but guess what - our beautiful beautiful room cost $27. and it was totally exquisite and the owner a total dear. There is a little coffe house/bar across the street and THE BEST FOOD in the night market. We loved this place so much that we arranged to spend another night there on our way back from Koh Kood and once again had a spectacular time (room and night market food) but what I haven't mentioned is that this town is so beautiful with its old wooden houses - no one would think to spend time there but its definitely worth it.
