I stayed at Little Corn B&B during the busy Easter weekend, and was amazed at the service, location, atmosphere, restaurant, and design of the bungalows and outside areas. From the moment you arrive the staff makes you feel at home, greeting you at the panga, escorting you to the the bungalows, welcoming you with a delicious pina colada, and giving you a rundown of the island and your bungalow. Everyone quickly learns your name and is there to provide whatever you made need. I can not say enough good things about how friendly the staff were!
The bungalows and surrounding areas, as well as the restaurant, were designed with such detail and consideration. It provides the ultimate atmosphere for relaxing during the day and at night. I found the Turned Turtle to be one of my favorite places to mingle with other visitors at night, and the food is top notch. The bungalows themselves are pristine and you feel good knowing how eco friendly they are. It was wonderful to have crisp white linens that smelt fresh out of the laundry. I had a minor glitch with the heater for my shower water, and within 2 hours the staff had managed to have their electrician come and fix it. I was amazed at how quickly this was done!
I highly recommend snorkeling with Elvis. We saw 5 sharks, amazing coral, and many fish.
I hope to return! While Little Corn B&B might be one of the more expensive places on the island, it is an amazing value and well worth it, and the bunkhouse bungalows offer all the perks at a very budget friendly price.

We spent a week at LCBB and had a truly wonderful experience. The bungalows were Eco friendly, extremely clean and comfortable. We have traveled all over the world and must say the staff at LCBB let us experience the best customer service ever. The staff was extremely friendly, always helpful and extremely hard working. I truly appreciate that all of the staff were Nicaraguan.
Scott and Kristine have been very thorough in making sure that LCBB is the best on the island. The food and drinks were all wonderful, especially the piña colada. We enjoyed the beach, our walks around the island and the many friendly dogs that seem so happy and people friendly. We made some great acquaintances from England, Canada, and Costa Rica, we will return!

Room Tip: All bungalows are great! We stayed in a crusoe which was wonderful for either 2 or 4 people

I can't say enough good things about our six night vacation at LCBB. From the moment we got off the panga, our expectations where exceeded at every turn. We stayed in the Master Suite Gulliver and it did not disappoint. In fact, we were surprisingly happy that the actual accommodations were even better than the pictures we saw. Everyday, our bungalow was spotless. And we were impressed at the care that the staff put into maintaining property, including raking the seaweed three times a day. We did the RADD package which gave us 2 meals a day, unlimited beer, unlimited rental of kayak, snorkels, etc and many other amenities. Highly recommended. The onsite Yoga studio was a special treat and added to our experience. The Turned Turtle Restaurant was top notch. Breakfast, lunch and the 4 course dinners were all very special...and sitting at the tables right on the beach made it every more so. The managers should be commended for doing everything to make their guests feel welcome: Billy and Maxine. And our waiter Max was the man. I could go on and on...as others have written. But suffice to say, I highly recommend LCBB.

Located on the breezy side of the island, LCBB is "glamping" at its finest. The bungalows are comfortable and clean with fans to keep you cool and mosquito netting to keep the bugs away. The bed sheets were crisp, clean and high quality. We really enjoyed the tinkle that announced the arrival of our morning coffee service on the front porch. The RADD deal offered two great meals a day, free pop, wine & beer, free use of the water sport gear (kayak, paddle boards, snorkels & fins), discounts on rooms, extra meals, stronger alcohol and other activity. The Pina Coladas are the best ever topped with fresh toasted coconut! Try a Jeff's Mud Hole too! We enjoyed fabulous food including 4 course dinners that easily could be served in a high end restaurant back home.
Kristine & Scot have done an excellent job of schooling their staff in high quality customer service. Friendly staff, always smiling and eager to assist, get to know you by name and anticipate your every desire. Even away from work, when we met them in the village, we were greeted warmly and offered assistance. Big thanks to Maxine, Billy, Max, Tichelle, Jennifer, Angelica, Alex and Danny, Yaneese (sorry not sure how to spell her name!) and the cooks and behind the scenes staff too!
We enjoyed interacting with other guests, sharing stories of home and other travel adventures, and even playing a killer game of monopoly. There are plenty of other board games available too. Don’t worry if you forgot your book, there are several there to choose from.
Do as little or as much as you want on Little Corn Island. We hired Elvis off the beach to take us snorkeling out to the reef. We were thrilled to experience clear visibility and water as warm as in your bath tub with literally hundreds of schooling fish of all varieties, abundant coral, and several nurse sharks. Highly recommend hiring Brandon for flyfishing from shore. He generously shared his local knowledge and tips for catching the native fish species. Hike up to the island’s highest peak and climb the radio tower for a fantastic panorama view of the whole island. The ladder is solid but if you’re scared of heights it’s pretty intimidating. Go to the village side to catch beautiful sunsets but don’t forget your flashlight to find your way back home. Or wake up early to catch the magnificent sun rise right outside your bungalow.
We will definitely go back again!

Room Tip: Definitely the best accommodations on the island. Bunkhouse is good if you're on a budget and d...

Little Corn Island is like stepping back in time 20 to 30 years. Travel to the island is not easy- but so worth it once you are there!!! LCBB is so relaxed- the staff are very friendly, food was fabulous!! The Island residents & dogs are even friendly !! A lot of attention to detail by the owners Scott & Kristine in a remote part of the world. The Scuba diving was outstanding!! A lot of nurse sharks, sting rays, eels, lobster and healthy reef!!!!

I cannot recommend LCBB highly enough. Myself and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have asked for better. The location is fantastic, set amongst the palms on the shores of the beach, on the breezier side of the island which makes for a more ventilated climate. The cabins themselves are clean, comfortable but still authentic to the surroundings. In 'The Turned Turtle' LCBB has a restaurant that produces wonderful food, with a great 4-course dinner and strong cocktails. Everything is served by personable and friendly staff who know your name and take time to talk and get to know you. As for those people who want to do more than eat, drink and sunbathe, there are plenty of diving, snorkelling, fishing and other activities to keep you entertained. Scott and Christine have created a relaxing, friendly and high quality getaway that was paradise perfection for our honeymoon, and we want to thank them for helping make our time there unforgettable. Oh, and make sure you have the Pork Sliders...

LCBB is a hotel full of amenities. If you're a person who can't get away from wifi, this is your place. Its quite, clean. But a little expensive. If you want to mingle with the locals and really want to have an island experience, this place is not for you.

They have paddle board and kayak for rent which is always available since the waves are always "nasty" in this side of the island. I rented their paddle board there for only $10/4 hours. We have lots of fun with the board.

Thank you for the nice review.

We take great care to have the cleanest possible hotel and restaurant. We wanted to double check the cabin that Arlene stayed in for cleanliness but were unable to find her name in our records (maybe she uses a different name when not on the net). We looked because she rated "cleanliness" as a 4 on a scale of 5 which is unusual. So we checked them all :)

When we built LCBB our goal was to provide an authentic Nicaraguan travel experience but with a few more amenities than other accommodation options available on the island. Our plan was to offer food that was not otherwise available on the island and accommodations that were unlike any other. We did this so that we would not take any business away from island business people who were already doing a great job of providing island style food and cabins.

We also wanted to be as eco-friendly as possible. Part of that commitment is to serve lobster for instance only during "lobster season" (prior to March 1). So, unlike some other island restaurants that illegally harvest lobster out of season and/or off of the reef, we choose not to do so. We just think it is the right thing to do and we sleep better at night too!

We have also made a cognizant choice to avoid hiring gringo staff if at all possible. We want to provide job opportunities for islanders so not only they, but their families and the island in general more directly benefit from LCBB being on LCI.

If you do come to stay with us, you can get to know our 27 island Nicaraguan staff members who are super friendly, being compensated well, learning a lot and are always excited to get to know you.

These differences mean that in some cases, but definitely not all, our prices for some things may be a bit higher than other places.

We look forward to seeing you on LCI soon!
