Owner description: La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is a geomarine protected area consisting of a group of islands situated in the north-east of the coast of Gallura, in the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica known as Bocche di Bonifacio. These islands – except for La Maddalena Island housing the homonymous town and characterized by a significant human presence – are entirely deserted or scattered with small human settlements, like in Caprera and Santa Maria Islands.

Some people would travel to the other side of the world to find such turquoise beaches and white sand. It is a 45 min hike from a not obviously sign posted car park, but still people can find it easily. We spent 3 days exploring Caprera, loving every minute of it, but by far, the most amazing beach was this one! I am tempted to reorganise my honeymoon to spend in La Maddelena just so we can have more time to explore here.

La Maddalena archiepelago is beautiful!
We didn't hire a car here because the bus could take us to the place we been. And to reach the beautiful beaches we had to walked. We like adventures so we did trekkings at Caprera Island to Garibaldi museum to cala Coticcio the way on this beach was not so easy but popular among locals. We walked thru the woods and rough stones steps but when we got to the beach WOW! We visited also cala Adriana and this beach has white soft sand and its bigger than Cala Corticcio. Spalmatore beach was nice but crowded. We took the bus around La Maddalena and theres is a lots of beaches we been for one day just for trekkings.
We visited also the different island by boat but it was so crowded by different tourist boat trip and rented boats. There is was jelly fish in some beaches so we couldn't swim.

We wanted to go on a boat trip in the Maddalena Archipel and looked for one of the smaller boats for a more personal experience. After comparing several of them we finally decided to go with the M/Y Mattia and we really loved it! The boat is new, with lots of space and perfect for a small group of 12-14 people. We were very lucky to be with an even smaller group of only seven people. Franco, the owner is very nice and a really experienced captain and showed and told us a lot. We stopped at three beautiful places where snorkeling and swimming was great. It was a fantastic day!

I visited Caraibi and several other marine paradises around the world. No doubt this is one of the best for the beauty of the nature.
