The sailing school Centro Velico Caprera is a full-immersion experience in the beauty of nature and the fantastic sea of Sardinia. I spent two weeks there for a full beginner course on dinghies and the whole life at the school is centred on improving your sailing skills. The coaches were competent and the atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly.
The organisation is very efficient and the food is fantastic (did not expect that!!). I went there alone, as well as most of the visitors there, and it was very easy to make friends. At night we were all together singing and chatting outside the main classroom.
Instructors there are volunteers (former school's students) and really passionate about the centre. This means that there isn't a permanent team on the island and therefore, for non-italian speakers, I would strongly encourage to contact the main office to make sure that in the chosen week there are instructors who speak english.
