Great apartment directly across the road from the beach. All you could want. A well loved family holiday home on an immaculately kept development. Right beside the supermarket, bars and restaurants. The whole area is kept very clean and tidy...no litter or graffiti.
If you are looking for lively nightlife, theme parks or centres of culture....then Isla Canela is NOT for you...but if you are the parents of young children , are an older person or a person with limited mobility then look no further....the area is really flat ..ideal for walkers, joggers, wheelchairs, pushchairs and cyclists. There are
lots of safe footpaths and cycle lanes...
Shallow calm waters and beaches that go on and on and on ....it lives up to its title of Costa de la Luz...Coast of Light...it is so bright with the sparkling silver sea.
There are no majestic cliffs or turbulent waters...just calm and serene seas ..it feels as if you are staring into infinity...
A bus circulates in the area ..roughly every hour....cost €1.30... takes you to the wonderful Spanish town of Ayamonte....beautiful squares...with kids playing in the square whilst their families sit watching them at one of the many surrounding cafes .. churches, narrow winding streets, harbour and marina....BEAUTIFUL!!!
Downsides: Isla Canela ..not many restaurants...great for fish fans but not a lot of choice for those who aren't.
Lively it is NOT...but it is probably the most relaxing place in Spain that I have ever been on holidays...and I LOVE Spain...but I think I have found one of my favourite spots!!
