Could not fault our stay with Lisa and Stephen! Their house and gardens are amazing and the hosts ( inc the dogs) made the 6 of us who stayed for a nearby wedding feel right at home- just wish my home was like this!!
Lisa didn't mind us arriving early on the Saturday for our one nights stay for a friends wedding at Haughley park barn (about 5 min drive away). Stephen kindly drove us to the church in elmsett and also took one of our party back in the morning to collect the car!
Lisa is extremely thoughtful and has everything covered, from the tea and biscuits when we arrived to the well needed breakfast the morning after the wedding! She even called ahead and booked a table at the local pub for Sunday lunch.
There is also a tennis court in the garden which Stephen let us borrow some bats and balls to play! Brilliant fun!
In terms of the fundamentals you need to know, you have the use of the drawing and dining room as well as your own room in the house and our hosts were more than happy for us to walk round the gardens.
Beds are very comfy, one room with en suite and the others have their own bathrooms which are just across the halls.
Definitely will return to stay with Lisa and Stephen- they couldn't have been more accommodating!

Beautiful house in a great setting with quality furnishings and excellent hosts. The only place to stay if you are anywhere in that area. Lisa and Stephen, and even the dogs, made us welcome from the start. Could not fault the place. Will definitely be back for more.

We cannot recommed Copinger Hall highly enough- one of the best B&B's we have ever been to, better than most hotels! Lisa very kindly made room for our rather large family party (in the area for a family wedding) Staying at Copinger Hall just made the whole weekend extra special. From start to finish everything was perfect- the setting, the truly gorgeous house full of fascinating pictures, some painted by Lisa herself , the welcome (including the friendly one from the dogs) the very comfortable rooms with beautiful linen, the wonderful dinner Lisa cooked for us and the exceptional breakfasts. Lisa and Stephen made us feel so at home but spoiled rotten as well, we would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely be back. Thank you to both of you for our very special weekend.

A party of seven of us - three adults, four children - took over Copinger Hall last weekend. It was the best possible experience on every level. Yes the pillowcases were smooth and white, the towels deep, the dogs amenable to friendly patting - but what really impressed was our hosts' kindness and thoughtfulness. We had a big anniversary to celebrate and had arranged a dinner of pheasant casserole and tarte tatin for some friends and relatives. The feast was shot by Stephen (well, not the apples), then cooked and handed round by Lisa - we brought the wine and champagne ourselves - and we had full run of the drawing room and dining room to play silly games. To cap it all, Stephen volunteered to collect and take our visitors back to their homes, so they didn't need to drive. It's traditional to praise a b-and-b by saying that it was just like home - but this was actually much, much, much better.

Room Tip: There are only three rooms - though Lisa found us a fourth. Some have bathrooms en suite, some don...

Copinger Hall is an exquisite country house adjacent to the church in Buxhall. Mainly Georgian, the house dates back 600 years in parts. It is beautifully furnished and presented but remains a warm and friendly home for Lisa and Stephen and their dogs.

The very large bedrooms are all a little different but each is wonderfully furnished and you will want for nothing. From a beautiful hospitality tray with delicious biscuits and mince pies to comfortable beds with lovely bed linens and even a back scrubber in the huge bathrooms, to the beautiful sitting room set aside for the residents' use, you could not be made to feel more comfortable.

Breakfast in the dining room is a very grand affair with a great selection of, well, just about everything really. The cooked breakfasts, using local produce, were delicious (especially the scrambled egg). We just wish we had been more hungry!

Lisa and Stephen are great fun and we are sure they will make every visitor feel as welcome as we did. A truly lovely place to stay.
