What a great experience was this short (1.5 hour) walking tour right outside the port where our ship docked. Who knew there had been a Jewish presence in Falmouth years ago and that the Jewish cemetery is a short walk from there. The guide, Marina, gave an excellent presentation about the history as well as discussing the various graves still there. We had a great, small group of six participants, from various parts of the US, who added a special flavor and interesting side information. WELL WORTH the very small expense and time.

We followed this tour with a "tasting" tour from a related company, Jamaica Culinary Tours.and another lovely guide took us to 5 different places and we sampled sugar cane and tropical fruits, Yams, breadfruit and salt mackarel, coconut water and Jelly, a Beef Patty (omg), jerk chicken and festival and sweet treats. The people we met were all so interesting and willing to tel us a bit about themselves. The tour ended at a 200 year old house, where the owner gave us a history and short tour of the house.

And what a pleasure it was having you join us! The Jewish Cemetery Tour was quite a memorable visit that day.....we are passionate about sharing that aspect of our Jamaican history than many persons are unaware of. We are also happy that we could introduce you to a bit of our local cuisine. Thank you so much for your kind words.

We wanted to see the real Falmouth and this walking tour was a good way to do it. Our guide met us at 1030 and took us on a ~2 mile, 2 hour tour of the town of Falmouth. She had an assistant that brought up the rear to make sure there were no stragglers and also helped at intersections stopping traffic. The tour was great and we got to see the good, the bad, and the ugly of Falmouth. Lots of interesting buildings and good information from the guide.

We booked this tour off of a Celebrity Cruise. It far exceeded our expectations, covering history, architecture, points of interest, foliage and fauna, social customs, and at the same time walking us through areas of downtown Falmouth that give you a true cultural experience. The tour guide, a young woman --was excellent --well spoken, knowledgeable and humorous as well. Would highly recommend for ages 12 and up.

Five of us had a delightful morning tour of this historic town on Jamaica's north coast. We learned a great deal about the people and culture of the 18-19th centuries.

I joined several of my friends on a walking tour of historic Falmouth. The tour is delightful, conveying history through stories, facts and humor. This is a great way to get a better feel for Jamaica and a nice contrast to adventure/nature tours. Our tour guide was friendly, accessible and knowledgable. The tour of two hours covers a range of heritage sites, with just the right amount of rest stops and shade!

The historic importance of Falmouth is not as well known as it should be, so we appreciated this opportunity to experience the heritage so intimately, the way one only can through walking tours. We will be telling all our friends to take the Falmouth Heritage Tour (in fact adding on the cemetery tour next time) and contributing to the restoration efforts.

Thanks to all of you at Falmouth Heritage Walks!
