We really enjoyed our tour of the swamp safari park. We walked the tour with a guide. Great crocodile experience. Good aviary and birds. Good pictures available. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Ready to take their time and answer questions. Set up more like a zoo than anything else.

The James bond island was a neat way to end the tour. The crocodiles were the center piece of the tour.

To begin a tour at a place which warns you beforehand that the trespassers would be eaten sounds surely exciting to say the least. Situated in Falmouth, just a little further from the Martha Brae River, it is a fun place to spend some time with the crocodiles and birds there and to know a little more about them. If you have kids, they will surely enjoy the experience where they are encouraged to interact with the guinea pigs and rabbits. For the more daring there are the baby crocs and Jamaican Boa that you can hold on to. A photo shoot is also offered to preserve the memories of such a brave act!

The mangrove habitat houses many crocodiles, about which during your walking tour the guide would explain and you also get a chance to see them being fed that too pole-feeding. Though the main attraction here are the crocodiles (quite a few), this place also houses other animals like the Jamaican Coney, Agouti, Spotted Paca, Racoons and some birds and snakes. The place is like a small private zoo.

The tour takes nearly an hour and nearing the end, the scene from James Bond's move, Live & Let Die is shown - the scene was shot here when Ross Kananga convinced the movie producers to add this clip in the movie where he performed the stunt of jumping over the crocs in the pond. While the movie is on, your photographs (remember the photo shoot with the baby croc & the snake?) are printed for you if you have chosen to purchase them. Must admit, the photographs are a good show-off of a daredevilry which you might doubt you even have!

So when you are planning your Falmouth day trip especially if Martha Brae features in your itinerary, just spend a couple of hours here as it is very close by.

Tip : If you are a resident, be sure to ask for the local rate for the entrance and not the tourist rates.
