“Good diving outfit”

Casa del Mar Scuba Diving
Certificate of Excellence

There were only four of us for the local dive but no issue. Guys were pros, fast and efficient paperwork, and boat in great condition. Second dive was excellent at Cayo Diable...nurse shark, turtles eating jellyfish, and a healthy reef. However, first dive was at Palomino island...they seem to want to go there though the diving is really weak...poor visibility and a reef that is pretty barren. They should skip this place but twice I've been there with them and both times it was bad. This is the only thing stopping a 5-rating.

Dove 6 times with Casa del Mar including a trip to Culebra. It was a lot of fun. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely dive with them again.

We had a great time on the afternoon snorkeling trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The snorkeling equipment was in great shape. The boat was clean an well maintained and the snacks and drinks were excellent. Of course the reef itself was beautiful, the water was warm and we saw a lot of fish and coral formations. We went as a family of 9, ranging in age from 9-60 and everyone said this was one of the highlights of our Puerto Rico vacation.

We tried for months to get a dive set up with this group. First had trouble reaching them, then they kept putting us off on reserving a trip. We finally went with someone else because we had booked a flight and hotel and wanted to be sure we got to go scuba diving while on our trip.

The staff at the shop and on the boat were super friendly and helpful.

It was my 13 yr old son's first dives after getting his certification and the staff took great care of us. The dive boat was like new and the rental gear was in very good shape.

Our first dive was a few miles off coast at the "tunnels" where the reefs have trenches or tunnels to swim in and get a close look at the marine life. The second dive was a few more miles out at Cay Diablo. Both had nice coral but the first appeared to be badly eaten up. Unfortunately the visibility was only about 35-40 feet but we really enjoyed the dives. The snacks in between dives were great - chips and salsa and fresh fruit.

The hotel at which the shop is located is enormous and has its own marina. But it is about about an hour drive from San Juan, you'll need to rent a car or pay a hefty taxi charge.
