“Beautiful resort!!”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

Outstanding views and large airy rooms. We were given a room on the top floor with the most amazing view. Granted the resort is sprawling with lots of stairs, the resorts courtesy shuttle and golf carts were always available to give rides from one end to the other. We rented our car at the airport, as it was much cheaper than paying for our airport transfers. There is a CVS, WalMart and grocery store on Route 3 coming into Fajardo, so you can stock up on some food and snacks. Of course the food at the resort was very expensive and at best, mediocre, but that's kind of to be expected at these kinds of places. The best lunch we had on the resort was down by the infinity pool in Las Casitas village. Las Casitas village was much quieter and tranquil than the main Conquistador Hotel.
Make sure if you go, to make plans to have dinner at La Estacion. This restaurant is off site, but right outside the entrance of the hotel (turn right after coming out by the main entrance). Excellent regional cuisine with great atmosphere at a fraction of the cost of what you pay in the resort.

Room Tip: We appreciated having a room in the north village which was situated in between the infinity pool an...

Dear TheAbbySeas,

Thank you for taking the time to share your great experience at Las Casitas Village. I am sure readers will appreciate your tips, to which I will add for their benefit. Indeed renting a car is always a good option when planning to leave the resort for tours and local restaurants, especially since Las Casitas Village offers complimentary parking. In terms of the villas fully equipped kitchens, we also offer a grocery shopping service, so that upon arrival you can find your villa stocked.

The Infiniti Pool is indeed a special place, it probably has the best view of any restaurant in all of the island, some even compare it to Santorini in Greece. Anyhow we were thrilled that you enjoyed its menu.

Although it was lacking some of the amenities from the past, this hotel and its accommodations are the best in Puerto Rico. Our Casita was Ocean Front and the view will take anybody’s breath away. Palomino Island and its staff made us feel welcome and the time spent there was one of peace and tranquility. The private endless pool and its setting can bring you total relaxation, not a care in the world as you look at probably the best site in the East Side of Puerto Rico. Our Casita brought the standard kitchen with stainless steel appliances, great large flat screen TV’s (Living room unit had to be at least 50”) and the best of all, not the old misty smell of so many other resorts. The fact that your car is almost outside your door and there is no waiting time it is great. Last, the ability to get transportation to the main building upon request, was one that I got to enjoy very much. This place I recommend for anybody who wants to get away for a few days and worry about nothing. The pricing is not one for the weak of hart, but it is the best service money can buy.

Dear Imedina806,

Much thanks for being a loyal fan of Las Casitas Village. We would not have described the resort better than you did and were flattered that you hold us in such high esteem.

The new large flat screen televisions are indeed exciting and were a needed improvement. Every year we work on different new ideas to improve not only the facility but also our services. Do come back visit us soon, 2014 will be a great year!

large and roomy villas, quiet and if you get a oceanview room it is so awesome! Boat ride to Palomino island is a must and the property is sight to see. Will be back but will only stay there 3-4 days.

We stayed at the Las Casitas resort for 3 days in late October, and it was an amazing experience. We enjoyed all of the amenities of El Conquistador as well as the quiet, secluded amenities (POOL) at Las Casitas. There was a large convention at El Conquistador, so we were happy to have our own space & pool away from that when we wanted. The beach at Palomino Island was a blast, and I wish we would have gone there another afternoon. Definitely go check that out. Oh, and if you're looking for some local fare and possibly an excursion, head down to the marina, take a left and walk about 5 minutes to the nearby village.
Watch out for the expensive breakfast buffet at El Conquistador though!

If you are bringing young kids to Puerto Rico for a little fun and sun, then this is a great resort. Tons of activities geared towards kids and families. Multiple pools and their own private island.

It's an easy day trip into El Yunque and over to Old San Juan if you've decided to stay outside of the city.

The food is mediocre and this isn't really the place to stay if you are 'going local'. But if you interested in a resort, then this is a great place

Dear LukeJames52,

You are spot on, Las Casitas Village is a great family Resort, we were actually voted as one of the Top 10 Best Family Resorts by TripAdvisor this year. The 1, 2 or 3 bedroom villas and the variety of activities are ideal for multi-generational families.

We certainly need to infuse more of the local culture into our dining experience, we will work at refining that aspect until we get it right.

Warm Regards,

A mix of a luxurious, rustic and family ambient. with great facilities, staff and the perfect retreat in puerto rico. The stingray cafe is a must. Palomino is the perfect relaxed spot. And fajardo is great. Locals are the best on the island. The palomino beach is the best. Of the island offers. Conquistador is the best value for your money

Dear Francisco J,

Stingray is one of my favorite restaurants in the resort. Especially when sitting on the outdoor patio and enjoying the breeze from the ocean which is just steps away. If you have not already, do try the sea-bass with wasabi mashed potatoes, it is to die for. the extensive wine list to accompany leaves nothing to desire either.

You are less than hour away, come back visit us soon!

resort managers should pay more attention to details breakfast should be complete or none at all. resort was to dark at places making hard to see where you going. spare parts for the jaccuzi should be available for prompt repair. having two break at the same time is just unacceptable.

Dear Peter A,

At certain times of the year we offer a continental breakfast with A la Carte hot items to complement. It is our belief that when the resort is not as busy this allows us to continue offering the freshest hot food versus having it sit in a chafing dish. I am sorry that this option did not meet your needs.

The Jacuzzis have been repaired and I agree with you, this took much too long but I can assure you this was a valuable lesson for us.

With gratitude,
