“Great family vacation!”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

We visited the Las Casitas village the first week of August. We had an amazing time. The children loved the water park, private island, the scoutabout adventures, and even the kids club(which has never happened). We had a few issues upon departure but Anjel Ojeda came to our rescue and immediately solved our problems. We look forward to visiting again in the very near future and have recommended the resort to several of our friends. Thank you again Mr. Ojeda. The Lohr Family

Room Tip: Would recommend Las Casitas villas over the hotel rooms.

It was our first stay at "Las Casitas" and although the staff service was outstanding the property maps need to be updated in order to locate the great facilities they have. Also, the beds should be queen size at a minimum since it was not comfortable for 2 adults to sleep in one bed. On the same resort, on less expensive rooms they have 2 queen beds in them. "Las Casitas" is an exclusive property within the resort but the bath tub was stained and there was even a picture missing on the wall.

My family and I look forward to visiting Puerto Rico every year. For the last 6 years, El Conquistador/Las Casitas has been our accommodations of choice. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. I have learned over the years to plan around the "busy weeks" to avoid the crowds. Our visit this year (August 5-12) was pretty close to perfect. Las Casitas will always have a special place in my heart since that is where our oldest son decided to propose to his Soulmate. Who knows, there may be a Puerto Rican wedding in the near future!!

Good, not great. The Casitas, their pools, the water park and the island were all enjoyable. The main hotel is average. If staying with a family, I recommend the Casitas. They have their own pools, hot tubs and service that all appear to be better than the main hotel. The pools were cleaner and quieter. We were impressed with the water park. It was great for young kids.

The hotel have a very good location. In the town you can find good restaurants. Is good for couples and families. The transportation is easy and affordable. The Palomino Island is very nice and the hotel provides the transportation to the guests.

Hotel and grounds were very nice. Service was great. There is no beach onsite so you need to first take a cable car down the mountain and then wait in a long line for a ferry to their own private beach (10 min ride). Wasted a minimum of 2 hours on the weekends getting back and forth to the beach. And, the last ferry leaves the beach at 530. Service on the private island was slow (45 min wait for a hot dog). Prices at the resort are high but you can go off the grounds for reasonably priced food. Hotel is a short drive to the rain forest, the lighthouse and marinas. It was approximately a 50 minuite drive to Old San Juan.

Truly a lovely place. It's our second time and the tranquility and service is wonderful. We have come to know the island so we rent a car and spend our beach time at Luquillo beach. Absolutely beautiful. Sitting on our balcony now enjoying the ocean breeze. Priceless.
