Description: Welcome to one of Fiji's first and best fine dining restaurants. Situated at the Sheraton Fiji Resort, Ports O' Call has a long association with the resort having been operating since the resorts launch in 1987. An old time favourite with regular visitors, the restaurant offers guests an international menu including premium steaks and seafood, with specialty dishes and its famous table side silver service unlike anywhere else in Fiji. Very mixed feelings about this place.

I walked intrigued by the menu outside, with intention of making a reservation an hour away so my wife and I could return to change into the right dress code. They were empty, and while I asked for a time slot an hour away, the wait staff proceeded to give us closed toed shoes and a collar shirt to allow us in -- without asking if we were comfortable with that -- which we weren't. As it was later clear to me they acted in good faith in our interests, we let it go and got seated.

We wished to get the entree "sharing plate for 2", and stop there as we wanted a light dinner. Evidently they were upset that's all we ordered, other than drinks. The food itself -- wellington was well done (not medium rare), pork belly too firm, but the scallops and indan kofta were decent. They were nice enough to offer a cake and liquor shot to finish and a celebration to our occassio . I say my review with very mixed feelings. The service staff tried hard to serve us well, we tipped the highest here than anywhere in Fiji, and in their own way go above and beyond some other restaurants. Sadly however the food by a large margin missed expectations which the menu and environment would have us expect. Let's put it this way, if I were to rate the service - 4.5/5, where the food is at a polarized opposite at 1.5/5 ... ergo my 3 rating.

Outstanding, as it was when we first visited 15 years ago. Crepes Suzette a specialty made at the table. Superb

Best high end restaurant on Denarau island Nadi Fiji. Silver service at its best.Service & food top notch, great for that special occasion. Some meals cooked at your table & desserts flamed at your table, each course is a delight . The best caesar in the world, have not had better anywhere, prepared at your table.
Completely chocolates at the end of your meal , after each course you cleanse your pallet with complementary parfaits.

We’ve been going to ports o call since we first visited the Sheraton circa 1998. It’s always had a class of its own with silver service dinning. It is how dining should be!

We arrived to a warm greeting as usual and were shown to a booth. Brag water wine were soon provided and then our selections taken.

Courses were delivered in a timely manner neither too quick nor slow. We had several dishes that were fully or partially prepared at the table. These are always entertaining and worth getting just for the Dow some times!

Food was as ever excellent. The Caesar salad is traditional without some of the modern day add ons. We had salmon and carpaccio for starters and rib steak and lamb both of which were prepared as requested and disappeared completely!

Dessert was the table prepared crepes in orange and grand marnier sauce and bombe Alaska. Again both were well presented and consumed in their entirety.

Service was generally impeccable, friendly and relaxed.

This place isn’t cheap but the experience is usually well worth the price. We’ll rerun again next trip hoping this place never changes or closes.

This place is for that very special night and the total fine dining experience and price reflects that.

Harking back to another era with its plush and dark decor and low lighting it also has several couples booths requiring the tables to pulled out by the waiter. Generous space between tables ensure you only hear murmurs from nearby tables. You will need to be appropriately dressed eg men with collared shirt & no shorts or jandals/thongs. Though if you only have shorts they provide a Fijian dress sulu for men that can be worn over the top whilst dining. (Note; no sea views whatsoever as it is totally internal within the Sheraton Fiji hotel).

The polite and accomplished staff, mainly male, are dressed in white uniforms adding further to the old world charm.

The food is truly fantastic and is the best by far on Denarau Island. For the main course both couples had the Beef medallion for two which they were happy to cook separately medium rare and medium to accommodate different tastes. The perfectly cooked portions were surprisingly overly generous which my wife & I could not finish - because we knew we had to leave room for their signature dish - their fabulous Crepe Suzette desert! Suffice to say that the theatre of it being cooked at your table and the gasps of delight is worth it all by itself, let alone the scrumptious taste.

Be prepared to intake your breath at the price you will pay - by far the priciest in Denarau - but it’s all part of the glamour for a once in a while dining experience.
