We had a great week at the Sheraton Denarau Villas. Its proximity to Nadi international airport was a compelling reason for us with kids of 4 and 2. The trip from Sydney is pretty manageable for them and as a result pretty easy for us. This is not a place you go for fantastic beaches or "Fijian culture" but we knew that before we left. The pools, the climate and the relaxed atmosphere is what we were looking for and what we found. The 2 bedroom villa had loads of room for the 5 of us (grandma came as well) and the mini supermarket at the Sheraton enabled us to take advantage of the kitchenette (full size fridge, microwave, hotplates, dishwasher). The resort restaurants are not cheap but that is consistent with everything I'd read so it was no shock and no disappointment. We ate out with the boys a couple of times and ate in the others. The friendliness of the staff and their ease with children cannot be overstated - they were fantastic. We would not hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: Upstairs probably not ideal if you have a pram but I think better if you have young walkers who can...

Everything you would expect and more!
Clean, beautiful, lovely pools, good restaurants. Great location as Bula Bus runs to all neighbouring resorts and to Port Denerau every 15min or so (30 min Fiji time) where you can shop till you drop - good variety of restaurants their too. Try a trip to Schooner Island with the friendly crew on Whales Tale - we did and it was well worth it. Great snorkelling adventure, got to see Nemo and his buddies!

The resort facilities are great especially with kids (four pools across villas, Sheraton and westin, good number of restaurants, etc). We stayed in a 3 bedroom with a newborn and a toddler. Unfortunately the 3 bedrooms are on the second level and the decks are not worth mentioining so would be worthwhile staying In a two bedroom on the ground floor and not paying for the extra bedroom. Also note the kitchen is not fully equipped as advertised, has no oven and only 2 small hobs and a microwave. And the room service menu is best described as "limited". Would stay again though because is great for kids.

We are a family of five, kids 8, 6 and 4 and have just returned from a week at the Villas. We chose a 2-bedroom Villa because it gave us space and the kids had their own room - we got upgraded from garden to lagoon when we arrived, but both have really good locations - serviced every day and very comfortable after coming out of the heat! We swam mainly in the Sheraton pool as it was mostly 0.9-1.2m and the kids preferred that to the Villa lagoon pool which is mainly 1.2-1.4m all the way round. The wet-edge pool is also nice and kids can play in that as well. We bought bread & milk from the convenience stores (which are expensive) but meant we could have a cheaper breakfast & then hit the pools early, and grab lunch at the Pantry (good coffee, nice rolls, sandwiches, pies, milkshakes) and have a nice dinner at the restaurants with the kids. Yes, the restaurants & shops here are expensive but then it is a 5-star resort - expect to pay around F$200+ for family buffet & F$300+ for couples meal at Flying Fish. Kidswear wristbands and dine for F$5+tax at most restaurants. Port Denarau offers some cheaper restaurants (supermarket prices the same as resort!) and Blue Bula bus is F$7 for adults and kids free for all-day pass. Sheraton service was awesome, very safe & friendly, and we will definitely come back - if a family go for the villas, space and quieter surroundings, and use the Pantry for lunches & snacks. Thanks Sheraton and staff, loved the stay and we will see you again!!

Room Tip: Upstairs Villas are very quiet

The hotel was great and the staff was very friendly and warm, My first time to Fiji and liked it... Beds was comfortable but the villa a little dusty, which the staff got it it soon after. Villa was very spacious but the hotel menu was a little pricey ,then again its ok U can hop on the Bula bus that will take U else where. Me and my partner rented a car and drove in to the city of Suva, huge difference to Denarau, but it was an experience to see places. Most mornings U will hear the hotel staff serenading farewell to the respective guest who's leaving at the buffet lounge
I had forgotten my sunglasses in the rented car after returning it back and the rental car company girl that's based in the hotel was so kind to come in early ( as i was checking out by 9 am ) jst to drop it back to me .

All in all i did enjoy the stay.

Room Tip: If Ur afraid of frogs, jst know that U wil find it everywhere ( not in the room) but outside bouncin...

absolutely amazing! Cocktails, sunshine, water activities, fresh food & an array of pools to choose from. You really don't need to leave the resort but why wouldnt you when the bula bus takes you to their sister resorts. You can also pay for another bus that takes you around the island. Food was really expensive around the resorts so I recommend you take the bus and go down to the port of denarau and grab yourself a cheap curry or some pasta. Also, make sure you check out the day trips at the concierge desk, really reasonably priced & the islands are beyond beautiful. Oh I almost forgot the service was outstanding. I wanted a fresh coconut to drink so asked the groundskeeper and he literally climbed up the tree and cut one down for me. A free show I will never forget. J&D xx

My wife and I shared a villa with my daughter, son in law and grand daughter. It was very roomy, spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. It had 2 separate living areas and two separate kitchens and bathrooms.
The resort covers a massive area with about 7 different restaurants (including a branch of the famous Moo Moo of Gold Coast and Brisbane fame). We dined at all the restaurants and they were all stunning. There are several pools, a sandy beach and beautiful gardens. The staff are genuinely very friendly and helpful. The resort makes for a restful and enjoyable family holiday. We will return.

Room Tip: Do not visit in the rainy (cyclone) season.
