I just returned from 7 nights at the Westin on Denarau Island with my fiancé & there's truly not enough nice things you can say about this resort & their staff. We had a garden room which was lovely as it was quiet & private. Rooms are spacious & the beds are very comfortable. We were told by some of the locals that the Westin is the best on Denarau which wasn't all that surprising after staying there. We only ate at the hotel restaurants once as we were on a limited budget & instead ate at the Marina but when we did it was at the Steakhouse Restaurant & it was exceptional - our table was right on the ocean, very beautiful. There were also fireworks every night for the Indian Fijian celebrations which made the trip all the more special.

This was our first but certainly won't be our last trip to the Westin Denarau Island Resort :)

Greetings from Westin Denarau KelliAnneShoppe
We are delighted you and your fiance had an enjoyable stay with us. We are proud of our Fijian Cultural outlook with modern Westin signature offerings. Our Steakhouse restaurant does create a very unique experience for our guests and generally our food and beverage offerings are comparable in pricing with other resorts on the island.
We look forward to welcoming you back for your wedding and / or honeymoon.

This was our second time at The Westin. We were a group of 3 couples & we all agreed it was a fabulous place to stay.

It took a bit of a beating from Cyclone Evan late last year & its nice to see the place looking a lot better than its pre Evan days, when it was looking a bit worn out.

The service seems better too, the staff seem to be more engaged than last time.

Nice to see "The Bakery" now open in the lobby, selling sandwiches, salads, pies etc

Rooms were spacious & comfortable, the beds are fantastic!

The free WiFi worked just fine.

We had the meal package with our accommodation, & all agreed that Ports O' Call was sensational,& both Steakhouse & Flying Fish very good. Wet Edge a bit of a let down, & Feast buffet was borderline dreadful. We also ate at V in the Sofitel & it was great.

Our 3 golfers were very happy with the prices & the conditions at Denarau Golf Course. There is a discount applied if you play 3 or more times.

As always, The Marina is a great place for some good food & good drinks.

All 6 of us had a wonderful stay & will happily return.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 single nights recently and received a beachfront room on our last night which was great. The rooms are large and nicely appointed, but the beds are luxurious, just what you need after a week on an island and then 11 days on a boat in a small cabin. We enjoyed meals at Zing on the first night, an Asian restaurant with very good food and then on the last night at the Steakhouse, again good food. The breakfasts were fantastic, lots of fresh fruit to juice, cereals, yoghurt, hot and cold buffet and nice bread.
We shall definitely return to this hotel in the future.
We also enjoyed a wood fired pizza at the adjoining golf course club house and would recommend this as well.

Room Tip: A beachfront room is a distinct advantage if available, although these have two double beds whereas...

We travelled in September for our wedding, along with 40 guests - most of whom stayed at the Westin also.
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the beautiful resort and professionalism of the staff during our stay. The pool/lobby and restaurant areas are beautifully kept and are very fitting with the tropical surrounds, it's more Fijiian in it's design than some of the others. This resort is on Denarau Island, so don't book it if you're expecting crystal clear water and pure white sand - you'll need to go to the Mamanuca islands for that! But DO book this resort if you want a relaxing atmosphere, amazing rooms and grounds, stunning sunsets, cocktails and beautiful food by the pool. There seemed to be a lot less children at the Westin than at the surrounding resorts, which suited us when it came time to lie by the pool! There are however many activities organised throughout the day and night to keep the restless ones occupied.
The resort is owned by the same company as the adjacent Sheraton and Sheraton Villas, which means you won't quickly get bored. It triples the number of restaurants and bars available to you, and also of course various pools to chose from. Everything can be charged back to your room, regardless of which resort you're at which is handy.
The food was some of the best we've tasted, especially Sheraton's Flying Fish - well worth the extra cost. If you're after cheaper alternatives however, Port Denarau is only a few dollars by taxi or Bula bus, and the food there is equally great and much cheaper.
We will definitely be back to Westin Denarau!

The family stayed here for 7 nights. The service and facilities were wonderful at this traditional Fijian resort. The ocean view rooms were really nice and comfortable. Free wifi for the ocean view upgrade also helped. I think the most outstanding feature was the service. Friendly and genuine and certainly not forced. Every one of the staff was there to ensure that you had a great time. Shops on site were nice. Yes it is pricey, but you can expect that with resort accommodation. If you look around the island there are places like the Marina and golf club where reasonable meals can be purchased at a reasonable price. Most reasons have a reasonably priced and more expensive restaurant on site. I have no doubt we will return. Thanks for the great stay!!

I spent 10 days at the Westin, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff was always pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was an awesome feast!! The rooms were very clean and the ocean view was spectacular, especially at night. I would recommend this resort any time.

The hotel offers a: "stay at one, play at three" system with its two adjacent sister hotels, the Sheraton Denarau Villas and Sheraton Fiji. All three hotels are in walking distance along the beach path but a free shuttle also operates.

The adjacent Sofitel is also accessible.

This modern open air resort has a number of adjoining split level pools as its focal point, with ocean views beyond; the sound of flowing water coupled with the birds singing in the trees provides a relaxing oasis. Just a shame it was so busy.

Our upgraded  room was spacious comprising: wet room with both tub and separate shower, reasonable wardrobe space, gowns and slippers, ironing board, safe, TV, coffee making, hair dryer and empty fridge with milk.

Large shuttered windows opened out onto a balcony with seating.

Air-conditioning was effective as was the free WiFi; the latter worked in both the rooms and around the pool area.

Breakfast was fabulous, a great variety to suit all tastes.

Lots of eating choices, nightly entertainment and family friendly the hotel is clean, well managed but expensively priced.

The Port at Denarau is only £2 by taxi (5 mins) and provides a variety of eateries in a sea front setting, whilst being the main transfer point to the islands.

To get the full Fijian experience however, you should combine with an island stay.
