My daughter & I stayed for 8 nights in a garden room . On the positive side, the room was clean, comfortable, & quiet, with the quality of the beds allowing for a restful night's sleep. The drainage in the shower needs work, as it would flood up to the toilet, having only a material shower screen . On one occasion we had to request our room be cleaned, as by 5.30pm it had not been serviced.
The staff are very welcoming & friendly.
The pool area is lovely. However the complex itself needs some TLC, especially with a new coat of paint, as it is looking very dated in comparison with the 2 hotels nearby.
The breakfast buffet is fine to good , and reasonable value for money at the special price of 25 Fijian dollars . But the food at the Zing restaurant, an Asian inspired restaurant, is truly terrible. We can cook better Asian food ourselves. Also, the room service food arrived cold & was of very poor quality. They really need to lift their game, especially when you consider that the food is not cheap & is comparable to Sydney prices. In fairness my daughter & I were looking for a very cheap one week stay. However, I sincerely doubt we would stay at the Westin again.More
