“Amazing Luxury Resort”

I stayed here for two nights in January/February 2014 with my boyfriend during a stopover before travelling to and from Nanuya Resort in the Yasawa Islands. We absolutely fell in love with the resort and I wish we had stayed there the whole time! We had our room upgraded when we got there and were given an absolutely beautiful room with a big bathroom including a separate bath and shower, a huge king-size bed with a plasma TV, a kitchen, living room with another TV, powerful air conditioning and a balcony with a BBQ. The room had the most amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. We were only there for a short period but we spent the afternoon by the pool and had lunch on our loungers. We had room service for dinner in front of a movie. We ordered pizzas and when they hadn't arrived after 40 minutes we called back and the staff hadn't put our order through. They were very apologetic and delivered us a fresh fruit platter as an apology which was a nice touch and we received our pizzas shortly after. We had a buffet breakfast included in our rate which was fantastic - so much selection. The only problem was all the birds that keep attacking your meal when you sit outside - I definitely would recommend an inside seat! We came back to the resort for another night on our way home. We were put in a smaller room which wasn't as nice (it didn't have the separate living room and kitchen area, and the bathroom was smaller), so if you are staying there for a while I would recommend paying the extra for the bigger room. We had dinner at the main restaurant on our last night. The food was good but it is expensive so be wary of that if you are staying there for a while. Overall we were very impressed with the resort and it seems like a great place to go with your family, especially if you can get one of the bigger villas.

After having stayed at a top end island resort for 3 nights, the first night of 2 at this hilton property is a huge let down.

The stay started off great with a decent sized room with a nice beach view. The fruit plate in the fridge as a welcome was nice. Then expectations started to diminish. 1st - Internet in the room is poor to non-existent, moved to the restaurant Nuku where it was supposed to be better - non-existent. Also non-existent at the restaurant was any type of acceptable service, although the food was very good once it arrived after having to ask for it twice. No one of the wait staff seemed to know what they were doing. Had to ask for food menus, didn't receive happy hour prices on the beer - even after the hostess let us know it was happy hour. Had to ask for the bill. We'll see if they can redeem themselves - but I doubt it.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in wing 10 and above to get away from the noise of the pools and restaurants.

Our family stayed at this hotel for one night in a two room apartment this July. The resort has unfortunately got a bit rough around the edges since our last stay 4 years ago. A lack of maintenance is very obvious, with the restaurant, rooms and lobby needing a make over. The front line lobby staff though were great though and very helpful in locating a friend in Nadi.
For the money they charge and grabbing every dollar out of you, including a surcharge for your credit card transactions, the resort could be maintained a little better. Only one towel in the 2 bedroom room was supplied for our family of 4 to dry ourselves. A staff member and the lobby was informed, but no towels turned up before we left. The breakfast bar is also a little lean on food choices now, with a lot of the food on offer not being topped up regularly. As this is our fourth trip to Fiji, we understand Fiji time, but not for the money they charge here.
Adults only pool is full of little kids, with little thought for those needing a quiet space.
As the resort now seems a little focused on profit, and less on service, we probably would not stay here again and would have a good look at other resorts in Denarau if we vacation in Fiji again.
Pity.

I am sorry to read that your stay has not been entirely to your satisfaction. I would like to mention that we have implemented dozens of initiatives over the past years to increase guest service and satisfaction, at no extra cost. For example: the adults only breakfast in Maravu (complimentary for guests on a B&B rate), the new kids club (major increase in size and number of activities, still complimentary), a second happy hour at the bar, complimentary kids meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in 2 outlets at selected times, etc, etc …
The adult only pools are simply not ‘full of little kids’, and the activities team certainly monitors and enforces this policy.
We will continue to enhance our facilities and services, so that our guests, first timers and repeaters, may thoroughly enjoy their time with us and come back.

One thing we have learned on this trip is not to trust booking.com but that's another story. My daughter and I were traveling with my elderly mum and aunt but our room arrangements were not suitable. The hotel solved our problems by providing us with a lovely Penthouse Suite, probably one of the most luxurious and well-appointed places I've ever stayed in. Note to you: the price at this time was the same as two standard rooms....

The venue, facilities, staff, and meals at the hotel are all outstanding. Everyone greets you with a friendly, "Bula" and seem genuinely delighted to help you. Special thanks to Lavenia, at the front desk who went the extra mile to help us out, and to Joe, for carrying suitcases back and forth.

The pools are clean and well maintained, and the beach is groomed every day. The hotel is vast, so make sure to take a walk to enjoy all it has to offer. From poolside massages, to buffets on the beach, this hotel has so much to offer!

This was our last stop on our wonderful trip to Fiji and it was a fantastic way to end a most memorable trip.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with a few people - check out the rates for the penthouses. It is worth it!

We stayed here for 3 nights following 7 days out on the Yasawa Islands 'slumming' it backpacker style. So it's fair to say we enjoyed the step up.

Everything was nice. The studio room we stayed in was comfortable. It had a bit of a weird shared door between the shower and the toilet. We also had two very minor maintenance issues (no door handle on our balcony door and a dodgy down light turning on and off). I reported these but they were never fixed.

Both the restaurants were great. Very delicious food. Reasonably priced.

The pools were great and we enjoyed spending our days sunning ourselves on the lounges and swimming in the pools. It was especially good to have some kid free pools!

This is a good hotel. But we spent most of our time wishing we were still back out on the Yasawas. Personally I don't know why you would come to Fiji and spend all your time here. It's very western and doesn't give you a taste of the real fiji. I'd rather go to a nice Gold Coast hotel in Aus than go overseas and not experience the Fijian culture but that's just me.

It seems that Denarau is possibly not the best match for your expectations, despite the many cultural activities, and of course the warm Fijian hospitality we offer.
I am sorry to learn about the technical shortfalls in your rooms, and will investigate the reasons why they were not fixed. In the mean time, please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused.
I still hope that you will come back to us at some stage, and enjoy the many Fijian experiences we offer on a daily basis.

Went to Hilton Fiji resort for a wedding in March 2014. As soon as we arrived we felt the stress disappearing. The wedding was gorgeous (a wedding package the Hilton offers), and the resort was beautiful, rooms very comfortable and the resort bars and restaurants are right on the beach - perfect for having a cocktail and watching the amazing sunsets. The stand out for the entire holiday was the very friendly Fijians. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, and even when we headed to the marina (great restaurants and bars), all the locals were so helpful, polite and always had a smile on their faces! Would definitely go back for a relaxing break.

We stayed here one night after 4nights at Octopus Resort, Waya Island. Had spent 2nights at the Radisson when we arrived in Fiji. Wished we had stayed an extra night or two, rooms are nicer than the Radisson but both Resorts were great. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view.
