Just returned from a week's holiday staying at the Radisson Blu at Denarau with my parents and had an excellent time. We've been to Fiji a few times before but this was the best so far. From the fantastic welcome and in-room orientation to their overwhelming hospitality they made sure we enjoyed every minute of the holiday. The pools are fantastic for all ages and the rooms are great. It was hard to get our 2 year old out of the water!! We were lucky enough to have a lagoon room with beautiful views of the beach. Fantastic food and facilities to be had. Special mention to Leini who serviced my parents room daily with special care and to Veceli who was so helpful. We're already planning next year's visit.

So glad we stayed here.High end but with a relaxed feel (walk around in your togs).Great adults pool with 2nd to none service.Cant say enough about the staff, friendly and so helpful.Room was excellent. Caught the Bula bus around the other resorts and agreed the Radisson was by far the best overall.Would stay again for sure.

We traveled with a 31/2 year old and a 17 month old and were after a holiday where we had the freedom to relax and add in some adventure with much sun. The Radisson is a fantastic hotel. From arrival and warm welcome, to whisking away the kids for cuddles and a personal tour to our room and overview of the resort.

The staff are amazing, they truly are. From Talica who cleaned our room daily, she was a delight and the room was spotless every day. We had a 1 bedroom suite garden courtyard room so we didnt have to climb any stairs and the boys could run around the grass area.
Our baby sitter Joanna was a dream. We booked her for 3 hours each day either in the afternoon or night so my husband and I could have some downtime. Joanna was all smiles, amazing with the kids and I was so confident in her, she made our holiday care free. I highly recommend booking her.
Roko in reception was so friendly and always chatting and holding the kids. The activities staff were above and beyond, I cant describe how good they are with the kids and even with the adults, getting everyone who is in the pool involved in water aerobics, waterpolo and volleyball. They are loud and charismatic and they remember all the kids names and have a nickname for all the kids, making them feel like they are part of the Fijian family. Bill 'banana' and Elmo, Harry and Simon were all amazing.

We spent most of our time in the pools and waterslide and enjoyed the night fire dancing and frog racing and we were blown away by the money raised through things like frog racing and duck derby to support the local schools. we went on the school tour and got to see the computer labs and new library that has opened due to the money raised from guest at the resort.

The restaurants are varied. I love my food so was a little disappointed with the Blu restaurant buffets and especially the breakfast, but I am sure it really is fine and I am being picky :)

Its a great resort to meet other families, swim, relax and happy hour at the swim up bar daily was a buzz. We loved listening to the Fijians sing and play their guitars.

The bottleshop/deli onsite was actually quite good and there is a bigger one next door at the Wyndham.

We were surprised by the Bula bus fee of $8pp but we ended up taking the local bus for $1 which stops out front of the hotel.

My only negative comment would be that it does lack in culture. If your after a Fijian experience then you wouldnt get that at the Radisson.

Dear neat78Sydney

We are really appreciate your review of our property here on Denarau and are glad that you had such a great holiday and we managed to look after you and your family so well. Vinaka!

It's not aways easy having a relaxing type of holiday with young children so I will pass on your comments to all those mentioned who took extra special care of you! It was also fantastic to read that you joined our school tour and saw first hand the work our Adopt a School Programme is doing in the local community. The new library at Nadi Primary is just one of many initiatives we have achieved to enhance local children's education - I do hope you liked our Facebook page "Radisson Blu Fiji Adopt a School" in order to receive regular news on what we have been up to.

Vinaka Vakalevu and we sincerely hope that we may welcome you back in the near future.

Just came back from 8 days at the Radisson Blu and it was awesome. Great accomodation, friendly service, everything works, they are constantly updating and refreshing the place. Plenty to do, restaurants are great, plenty of variety. 'Adults pool' is a must for couples. Take the bus if you're going to Nadi, easy and cheap. Golf Club is great for a cheap and good meal.

Great to read that you had such an awesome experience here on Denarau and that you found we catered well to couples - thank you for your comments and observations. Yes, the Adults Only pool is a definite relaxing haven for those without children and I hope you had the opportunity to enjoy a few cocktails at the same time!

We would love to see you return to Radisson Blu Fiji in the future and in the meantime,

Stayed two nights before flying home.
We choose the Radisson because of the great rooms and for the pools that the kids love so much.
We couldn't keep the kids off the waterslide and was in the pool before we has time to unpack and right up until we had to get our transfer to the airport..
Service was a bit slow at time for drinks, at one stage gave up waiting for a drink at the pool bar.

Ordered the pizzas and they were yum as usual. Breakfast has a large variety of food and over our intire stay of Fiji found this resort had the most variety. Loved the omelettes.

IN SAYING ALL THIS. I won't stay here for entire holiday as this is not the true Fiji experience.

It sounds as if you really enjoyed your two day stopover with us and that we managed to meet your expectations. Thank you for taking time to review Radisson Blu.

We get a variety of guests enjoying our pool areas and comfortable rooms - some stay for lengthy periods, some stay for a few days. Many guests, like yourself, comment that our resort makes an ideal stopover. We would really love to welcome you back again sometime in the future.

Nice enough resort but you could be anywhere. Rooms are clean and has all the comforts of a quality western hotel. This is a place well suited for a family not wanting to go outside their comfort zones. We spent 2 nights here after having 5 out on the Yasawara islands. If you want ot get a taste of the real fiji, the people the food, the beaches and the reefs then do yourself a favour and head for the islands!!! The breakfast buffet was impressive, so much variety.

Bula Tansambi

We appreciate your comments on your stopover at Radisson Blu Fiji and were pleased that you found nothing to fault with our beautiful resort apart from the fact that you didn't think it a "Fijian experience".

Many visitors have different needs and expectations from their holiday to Fiji - it sounds as if you had a magical time in the amazing Yasawas. They really are spectacular! However, perhaps a resort holiday is not for you. Many guests enjoy the best of both worlds and spend a few days enjoying all Denarau has to offer and then visiting an island for a different experience.

If you had stayed at our resort on a Friday we run school tours as part of our Adopt a School programme. If you wanted to experience the true Fiji and genuine hospitality then this is not to be missed!
