Was a lot of fun, plenty to see. Was a real trip down memory lane. Made me more nostalgic than I ever thought I was.

“A must do in Wanaka”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Plenty to do and see in this small pocket of Wanaka - toy musuem, wings and wheels, great 60's diner and have a shot.
Don't drive past, all great activities for a rainy day.

“Take a trip down memory lane”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

Be prepared to spend many hours here. It doesn't matter who you are, you will find something to remember your childhood by. Toys of every description line the walls, aisles, cabinets and shelves, and that even before you step outside. Whole sheds filled with cars, trucks, fire engines, tractors, and even aircraft are all waiting for you to explore and reminisce over. Enjoy!

“Lots of stuff to see but poorly displayed”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We visited this museum on a chilly day and it was absolutely freezing inside as it is based in 3 metal sheds. Take a coat if you are there in winter. They have a mass of toys, full size firetrucks, trucks, planes and cars, however they are very poorly displayed. The trucks and fire trucks had other bits and pieces just thrown on top like, prams, sewing machines and other items that looked as they they couldn't find a spot for. If they took the time to clean their display items and presented them better instead of squishing everything haphazard the museum items would be much more appealing. Everything was hard to see becaused things were squashed together. Having said all that it was interesting it's just that you couldn't see things properly.
