“Hot biscuits”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Small cinema. All sorts of seats available, including old cars installed in the cinema. Friendly staff and hot large biscuits at the interval.

“Most fun I've had at the cinema.”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Complete opposite to the mega complex setups. Showing new releases but everything else is different. Start times are not strictly kept and as the show goes on you understand why. Patrons can order food and drinks which are available at interval and interval goes on for as long as it takes to serve everyone. Seating is a collection of sofas set out in tiered rows. There is even an old car you can sit in. The night we were there the projectionist put on the incorrect movie when changing the reels over. It took a while to fix so the owner came in and told jokes!

“Fun night out”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

I went to see 'The Other Woman' with a friend here. The staff were very friendly and chatted when we were purchasing tickets, even though there was a queue behind us. I particularly liked being able to purchase a cider or a wine to have in the cinema. The theatre itself is pretty cool, with couches, various seats and an old car as seating options. Fortunately my friend had warned me about the intermission, as the movie stopped suddenly mid-scene, and I would have thought there was a power failure otherwise. As others have said, the cookies are delicious and it was nice to be able to chat about the movie so far. Tickets were not particularly expensive either.
Definitely a fun experience and a nice way to see a movie. I'll be returning.

“Unique experience in Wanaka”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

We saw a film here in April and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The theatre has random lounges for seating and a Morris Minor you can sit in. They sell alcohol and food but their cookies at intermission are not to be missed. They also sell their own icecream which is an experience in itself. It is very popular so a prior booking is a good thing to do. It is within easy walking distance of Wanaka accommodation places. Great for a rainy day but great anyway.

“Movie - chill out time”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

I am blown away with this place. made a booking - didn't have my $$ so just took my name & sure enough was remembered by sight when I walked in.
comfortable seating - felt like I was home in the lounge with a large group of friends around.
Movie didn't start until everyone had their food & goodies - so thoughtful.
interval - you could order hot food - yummy pizzas and the most amazing cookies - baked special for your order @ interval time.
a wonderful venue to view a movie and feel special
