“Ok, quiet, but too far out of town.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014 via mobile

We were two families in a two bedroom unit. It was adequate and we cooked meals for two of our three nights in the little kitchenette. The location was dead quiet. At the same time it was a long walk out of town. Not sure if I'd stay here again due to the distance from the town. Also no view of anything but residential housing.

As others have said, this place is in a backstreet 5 minutes drive from town. The buildings are fairly old and look tired in places, but are kept clean and tidy. It was very cold when we arrived, but the friendly and helpful staff were quick to supply extra heaters on request. Prices reflect the age of the property and are reasonable.

Stayed one night. Found we could easily walk to a friends place and into town.
The unit was adequate for our short stay, some attention to mould on door and window frames would help to make it a bit more appealing.

Location wouldn't be great if you don't have a car but it's in a quiet part of town and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable.
On location, it's only 20 mins walk to town, 3-4 in a car, and is very close to a lovely point to view the vista from.

Spent 2 nights- room was clean and quiet and bed comfortable. Not in the centre but was not an issue for me. Very good value and would stay again- free wifi a bonus and parking next to unit made life easy

The layout of the place was great. Individual cottages. Nice clean rooms with all amenities. Bathrooms were very clean and really friendly staff unlike some other places in New Zealand that i visited. It almost gives you the feeling that you are living in your own place rather than a resort. The place is kinda eerie, just because of the location. In fact the whole town is. Roads leading up to it are kind of dark post sunset. Should not be a problem as sun sets around 9pm in the summer. The layout of the room was ok. The TV was pointing to nowhere and so was the sofa.
PS - I just loved Wanaka!

Room Tip: The room had a window with a bus staring at me from a side road. Felt kind of wierd. Had to draw the...

This was a great value for money motel. Spacious, clean and comfortable. We were greeted by an extremely helpful young man who gave us plenty of ideas about things to do. Although this was a little way out of the main town centre it was only a short drive and was walking distance if you dont mind an energetic stroll.
