We were a big group.. 3 couples with a bunch of young kids. This place gave us 2 interconnected villas at a good price. The rooms were bright and spacious, and the kitchen/laundry was well equipped.
The aparment got a lot of sunlight, and kept very warm and comfortable.
The owners are friendly people, and were very accommodating with late check-outs. I doubt I'd have found such a spacious place in the town center(which was 1.1 kms away). Once, when our car wasn't available, the owners promptly helped us by dropping us to the town center.
While we were away, our apartment was "Serviced/cleaned". Am not sure how that works, but when it was really only the garbage that was cleared. Am not complaining, as it was only for a couple of days that we were there, and it was a very comfortable stay.

Myself and partner along with another couple booked this accommodation for a week snowboarding holiday. The apartment is amazing: heated bathroom floors, self catered kitchen, teas/coffees/hot choc, refilled everyday. The rooms were cleaned daily and the friendly prompt service was more than one could ask for. We noticed a problem with the fridge and by the time we'd returned from the slopes that afternoon - it was replaced....with extra beer in it!!! There is a washing machine and dryer in the garage so dry (warm) gloves every morning. They also have two jacuzzis, sauna, table tennis, gym, outdoor barbecue amongst other toys. The day we left they even gave us a brush and hose to wash the mud off the rental car before returning it the drop off point. We will definitely be back next year. I'd recommend supporting these people was their attitude to delivery decent customer service is tops.

Alpine Resort is located a little out of town, but is definitely built for the view. Our apartment looked straight out over the lake and mountains, and offered what was literally one of the best views I have ever seen from the living room and balcony.

We stayed in a three bedroom townhouse, which was more than enough room for four adults and two children. Furnishing was to a high standard, though this varies between apartments. The kitchen was very well equipped. Other facilities are good, with pools, spas, a tennis court and well equipped games rooms/small gyms. A lot of thought has gone into the set-up here, and it shows.

Alpine Resort seems popular with the snow crowd, which means that there is some noise in the evenings as tired snowboarders pack into the spa with a beer. This wasn't enough to keep us awake, though.

Internet was not cheap, but had a generous download limit and was very quick. Business travellers will have no problem with Wifi use.

A slightly jarring point was that the rooms were not serviced beyond a change of towels each day. At this price point, it would be reasonable to expect that beds be made and the floor given a quick vacuum.

Overall, Alpine Resort is a great choice in Wanaka, so long as you don't need to be in the middle of town.

Stayed here for 3 nights end March and booked through Wotif several months earlier and paid $149/night for 1-bedroomed apartment. Arrived and given 3-bedroomed apartment with one bedroom locked off. Good start. Apartment 16 was on first floor, clean, spacious, quite newly decorated/looked after with modern furnishings and everything required for a short stay, including laundry and plenty of towels. Although, like a previous reviewer, it was quite inconvenient not having a telephone in the room. Pool/BBQ area nice and clean but we didn't see anyone else use it. Think the complex was quite empty when we stayed as just before NZ schools break up and skiing season not started. Apartments are privately owned but rented out and managed by company, that's probably why difference in interior style/condition. Nice views from balcony but the development very much has the feel of a 'housing estate'. Quite a way out of town, so you have to rely on the car all the time. Some fantastic walks around the area, particularly suited to my 9 year old - Clutha river walk (1 hour) beautiful and flat. Mt Iron 150m, easy, steady climb on well worn path. We even did Rocky Summit at Diamond Lakes (750m) which took us 2hrs up and little less coming down! Gorgeous views at the summit. I'd been to Wanaka a few times before when I lived in NZ in the early 1990's and pleased to see it still retains that small, laid back feel. It's a small village with most facilities available, banks, internet cafes, good restaurants, supermarket, fish/chip shop, clothes & souvenior stores, etc etc. I'd probably stay here at Alpine Resort again if I could get a good rate, despite it's location. Nothing negative to say about it really.

My parents said that this was best place we stayed in durng our trip. It was a modern townhouse, very comfy, spacious and well-equipped. It even had its own garage, and we could just park the car inside - made carrying the luggage such a breeze. We loved having a washer and dryer - did most of our laundry that one night here! Everything has been thought of - they had clothesline, rack and clothespegs even. Nice lawn and pool area, perfect for a relaxing stay, really. You will probably need a car to move around since it is slightly further in, but other than that, its pretty excellent.

The price was put up over the easter period so we were paying a premium. I thought $1000+ for 3 nights was overpriced for what we got. 50% of the fee was deducted on booking (3 1/2 months before) and then the balance was deducted well before (2 months) we had even stayed there.

We had to enter and exit through the garage door as they had rented the upstairs
out and unfortunately we heard children running up and down from very early in
the morning and all through the day when they were there. (nice little kids though!)

The place was OK but they've obviously run short on a few things as some things
were broken (TV remote, oven switch). Eco lights which weren't nice to sit under.
No phone in room which was extremely inconvenient as I had left my phone at
home. I couldn't ring the front office with a couple of inquiries and it was too far to walk when it was raining. There is only one mirror in the whole place which is in the bathroom and this was inconvenient for a family a teenager.

The main bed was comfortable although they need to give it a good clean behind.
The single beds were very skinny and my son found it uncomfortable.
The bathroom was clean and bright although the shower took so long to heat up which
wasn't the best when trying to conserve water during dry seasonal times. When it did
finally heat up, the water temperature kept fluctuating warm to cold on its own.

There was a nice tidy garden outside the deck but unfortunately we only had a view of
the garages banged up right in front of us.

This hotel is in an industrial area and you'd need a car to go to the local restaurants.
(OK if you like to walk 20 mins and it's not raining).
I would recommend staying here if you are a traveling business person and you just need somewhere to put your head down for the night but I wouldn't stay here if you are
having a holiday.
Parking was difficult as garage was very small to park a large car. Most of the other guests were parking outside too.

We recently stayed at this complex and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had booked a one-bedroom apartment but on arrival found we had been allocated a 2-bedroomed. Apartment was fabulous with beautiful modern stylish decor and a designer kitchen. We loved the place so much we booked in for an extra night. There are 2 swimming pools in the complex as well as spa, sauna, pool tables, BBQs and much more.
Everything was of the highest standard and exceptionally clean. The apartment was serviced daily with clean towels if required and coffee etc supples topped up as well as rubbish bins emptied.
We will come back here again.
