“Great breakfasts, cake and coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian. I generally don't care whether what I eat is organic or low in sugar. As long as it tastes great, I'm happy. I wouldn't normally choose a place like this, but my wife is allergic / intolerant to most foods so I agreed to eat here. It does wonderful breakfasts with good quality eggs and bacon. My wife's veggie omelet had more veggies than eggs! The coffee is from a cafetiere rather than a machine, which makes a nice change and gives you more for your money. I even liked the desserts, which are made of righteous ingredients rather than the usual sugar and chocolate. You don't have to be pale, skinny and dreadlocked to eat here! (Check out the shop also for nice soaps, organic chocs and crisps made out of vitamins etc).

“Very friendly food”

After the fast food oriented Queenstown, this organic enclave was the best that could happen to us. Very good soup and frittata. Check the beet-beet smoothie and the gingeresque one.

“yummy coffee and gluten free treats”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

As a gluten and dairy intolerant traveller in NZ, finding a good coffee can be a challenge as a lot of cafes use soy milk with malt barley in it. It was a relief to find this little haven that served beautiful strong plunger coffee in pretty tea cups with rice milk. To top off the hippy vibe they have gluten free vegan sugar free muffins. And you can shop for fair trade chocolate and locally grown herbal teas while you wait. This is my new fave, seating is limited but the best seat for me was the window seat, they have outdoor seating but in winter its a bit chilly.
