“Great Value!!!”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

We spent 2 months travelling in South Africa, and Lindani was our favorite place we stayed. You stay our your own lodge and you can decide for yourself whether to cook or not. We chose to have them provide dinners. The dinners were very tasty, and there was plenty of leftover food for lunch the next day. We stayed at the Stone House and the view from the yard is over a wide open stretch of savannah where you might see gnu or hartebeest. The kids loved the pool (even though is was cold due to it being winter). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did a driving safari, a walking safari, rented mountain bikes, and were even invited over to the owners house at night to see the bush babies and genet that hang out in their trees.

Room Tip: stone house was excellent!

We stayed at The Loft weekend 10 May 2013. I would like to mention that Sina at reservations were very kind and understanding. My children could not make it for the weekend because of circumstances that they could not help for. I explained to Sina at reservations and she e-mailed me a confirmation for a next stay at Lindani Lodge. It was wonderful to know that I did not had to loose my money. We stayed at the Loft three times already and at Alden cottage. Our next stay
will be The Stone house. Lindani Lodge is amazing, clean and very well equipped. A bunch of flowers welcomes you everytime you arrive. Lots of animals to see and beautiful picnic places on the farm. All the personnel are friendly and helpful!!

Room Tip: All the houses on the farm have their own pools which is wonderful and private for families!!

This is an absolutely fantastic destination. We were here last in August 2012 and have been here on average twice a year for the last 10 years. We have stayed at every lodge except Alden over the years and love each one.

I challenge any guest to find a speck of dust in the lodges. The cleanliness is beyond excellent. They are well equipped with everything you need and with those that you might have left at home. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help should one need it. Everything in the lodges is of superior quality and the interior decor is spectacular.

The reserve has an excellent amount of animals without the reserve looking over-grazed. A peaceful bush experience is what one can expect to find here. The lodges are situated far enough from each other that you will think you are completely alone here.

There are great walks and cycling routes.

The road to Vaalwater has been rebuilt and makes the drive very easy and the road north from Vaalwater is also very good.

Absolutely great value for money. An experience that will make any new visitor want to keep coming back as we have.

We had a great week at Lindani. We stayed at Motseng and it was amazing to see animals such as impala, warthogs, and others from where we were staying. We drove around the park and saw many other animals including giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, monkeys, jackals and a number of others.
The mountain bike riding trails were wonderful and gave us opportunities to get close to game.
The lodge was very peaceful with very comfortable facilities and we enjoyed the lovely swimming pool and the serenity. We catered for ourselves for breakfasts and lunches and the kitchen facilities were excellent. We enjoyed the delicious evening meals which were delivered in the late afternoon each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our family is from Australia and it was a great way for us to experience the African wildlife in such a fantastic setting. We strongly recommend then Lindani experience.

we regularily travel to Lindani to get away for a few days. i think this is our 10th year visiting.

Lindani really is fantastic. we normally stay at the Stonehouse. this trip we took some friends with from the UK. we had a great time.

the lodge is really well kitted out with all that you need. you only need to bring food and drink. the rooms are well appointed and have all you need. the bed are comfortable and you have a good nights sleep.

you are also left completely alone and it is very rare that you see or meet anyone on the property. you can do your own game drives (only have leopard of the big five - and plenty of spore around the Stonehouse this year!!!!), mountain bike or walk. all of which are well laid out and easy to do.

the stars at night are also fantasitc as there is little or no light polution. i always say it is so quiet and dark you cannot sleep!!!!

Room Tip: get the cleaning service to come in daily as you then have even more time to enjoy yourself and not...

Our 2nd visit to Lindani. The most wonderfully peaceful setting. A variety of accommodation on offer and the option to be left entirely alone or have our home away from home serviced. We stayed in the newest lodge - Maroela this time. A converted bird hide which has been beautifully kitted out. Attention to detail superb. Really comfortable beds and the outside shower superb. The boys hit the mountain bike trails without losing too much blood. Lovely walking trails as well. Maroela is situated right at a water hole which brought a variety of visitors all day and night including giraffe, warthog, zebra, buck, monkeys and birds. We will be back as soon as possible!

What a great weekend away from the chilly weather in Johannesburg. Great weather in the Waterberg. We stayed at Masikweng and it was super. All you need is to get yourself there with some food and drinks. If you want you can get caterers. We took a walk around the property and although we did not see much wildlife the scenery was impressive especially down near the river. Beware the crocodiles!! Its well worth the trip and the lodge has everything you can think of.

Room Tip: At Masikweng all rooms are en suite and three are on one side of the house and the other three are o...
