We stayed 9 nights at the Breezes in Nov. 2013 - one of the best Beach Hotels we have ever been. We had a deluxe room visiting the Ocean in first row - perfect view seeing the moon rising out of the Ocean. We had the highly recommendable room 10.

We arrived after a perfect Safari from the Tansanian mainland and after a -well lets say interesting - stay in Stonetown. We were greeted by the manager - Marcus - and shown the property.A lovely perfect setting inmidst palms.

Spacious rooms and a very good service impressed us from the first moment;we needed to change the king bed with one matrass to two matrasses - no problem, done in a minute.

Super friendly staff and great food all day, even on the buffett. If you stay more than seven days the Diner themes will come around again.
On the beach you ll find the rising sun dive ctr, see my review . Its very good for diving but comparing to places like the red sea very pricy. Nevertheless its a great dive center with very friendly and caring instructors.

All in all - a great stay and we hope to return some day.

One little thing left : the wifi should not be charged , it must become free.

Room Tip: Try to get the deluxe rooms or suites, they are in the row with ocean view. Definitly worth the high...

Elegant but relaxed, for couples but also for families or groups of friends, for those who like doing absolutely nothing but also for the very active ones, …. All rooms are spacious and with all comforts but they are of many types so as to cater for the different needs of the people. A very beautiful beach which come and goes with the tides - I particularly love the low tide with its magic colors, the many "waterholes" and the locals using the beach as a path :-) In any case you can swim at any time, in the big swimming-pool or in the warm ocean. Best compliments to all the staff for their professional and yet warm attitude.

We came here not expecting to see what we saw. Beautiful gardens with lots of different trees and flowers. Paved pathways with ample lighting at nighttime. You are made to feel welcome the moment you step out of your car. The "lobby" has a large lounge area as well as 4 sofa beds to relax in. Our room was very spacious with a separate bathroom. You can sit outside on your private patio and watch the sunrise, various birds and even the odd hermit crab. They supply a rack to hang your wet clothes on which was much appreciated. Comfortable King bed, though the pillows were a bit too soft for us. You were spoiled for choice at meal times and the waiters couldn't have been more obliging. The bar staff came to you while you were relaxing around the pool and there was ample seating for everyone. You unwittingly had to participate in the night's entertainment, but isn't that part of the fun! There is lots to do or nothing to do, it's your holiday and you can spend it as you desire. Walking along the beach you get to see different birdlife, shells, sea creatures and fossil corals. A very, very, very relaxing stay was had here!!!

Room Tip: Laundry is a bit expensive here, so you should try and have it done prior to your arrival

This was the second time we stayed at Breezes. The first time was about 8 years ago. Thje hotel has developed really well and although 152 guests were there for the New Year you almost felt that everyting and everyone was there just for you.
That is excellent service, fantastic food and all the small extras one can expect for a New Year celebration.
The hotel must be highly recommended

Travelling a lot for leisure as well as business reasons and having visited numerous places from miami beach, Côte d'Azur, to banjan tree on the Island of Bali, every Hotel wether 1 star or Five star always welcomed guests in their restaurants if a reservation was made well in advance. Tried to do so today and after being passed to two different people on the phone, the third one denied to take the reservation in a very unfriendly way. Sorry, "zanzibar collection" still needs to improove, we could have been future guests on our next visit to znz (already here for the fourth time...).

Dear Sir,

Although you have not been a guest and stayed with us, we regret to see your negative review of our hotel.

We would like to point out that customer service is of the utmost importance to us and this is reflected in the outstanding feedback we get from our guests about our staff and service.

Our hotel is very busy and has been fully booked during the high season. Therefore we are unfortunately not able to take outside guests, as understandably, we prefer to dedicate our resources to the clients in house to ensure the very best standards of service for them.

We were very surprised to see your feedback as we have never had this kind of comment before and are sorry if you felt that the above was not communicated to you in the right way.

Once again, we do believe that our overwhelmingly positive feedback we get from our guests from all over the world, is a testament to our approach to service and we hope to be able to welcome you to Breezes in the near future.

We were made to feel most welcome by management and staff. The gardens and beachside are very well kept. The rooms large well appointed, clean and very comfortable.

All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall the food was very good with a good choice.

Christmas eve was memorable. The management organised Christmas carols sung by a local choir and decorated the restaurant with palm branches cut to resemble christmas trees.

We had an amazing three weeks holiday.

My wife and I travelled with my five kids aged 23 to 9 and had the most wonderful New Year at the Breezes Club. The hotel suits us down to the ground. It is reasonably small and feels pretty exclusive but is large enough to have lots of facilities. Many touches go together to make the Club into a very special place from the friendliness when you arrive, the quality of the rooms, enough sun loungers sensibly spread out so you do not feel on top of others, the food was cracking and a good mix between buffet and being served, to the quality of the party of NYE, and to the helpfulness of the staff. Also, my kids are sporty and we all enjoyed the tennis court and gym and my wife loved the spa. It is the second time we have been- the first was ten years ago. I am pleased to report that what seemed like Paradise then had not been spoiled in the intervening decade. Only suggestions for improvements were that the activities for our 9 year old were sparse and the absolutely beautiful Moorish styled tea room had gone to be replaced by a rather functional café. If it were my hotel I would bring back the team room.

Room Tip: Very few rooms look out to sea. If you can bag them go for it. Otherwise I would be relaxed. apart f...
