After eight nights on safari we arrived at Breezes for six nights of relaxation and got it. Our transport from the hotel was waiting for us at the airport and whisked us through the crowded streets and villages to a warm welcome and cold drink. After checking in at reception we were shown to our room which was at the rear of the property through pretty gardens. We just dumped our cases and headed for dinner which was table service. Everything was explained on entering the dining room and the food was lovely. The meals are alternative buffet and table service which was a nice change from getting up to get your own food every night. Plenty of choice and all the food we enjoyed. Breakfast had plenty of choice and I just loved the pancakes and fresh fruit and juices. Waiting staff were friendly and as i had learnt a few words of Swahili one of the waiters taught me some more. In the evening there was entertainment whilst you were eating and as the restaurant was open sided there was always a lovely breeze.
The pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds around also plenty of sunbeds on the beach area, no need to put towels down at dawn!
Staff were all very friendly with management presence all the time around the property.
Food and drinks were available from your sunbed so you didn't have to move if you didn't want to.
We were leaving the hotel a day early so we could stay in Stone Town the night before we left for the UK and as we would miss one of our evening meals were given a voucher to have lunch on the day we left.
Our room was spacious with good a/c, two large twin netted beds. Couple of power cuts but generator cut in almost immediately. No tv which we didn't miss anyway. Nice couch to chill on and cool off in the room and chairs on the patio with a stand to dry clothes.
My daughter used the on-site diving company but it was so windy her first dives were in the lagoon as they couldn't get over the reef followed the next day getting over the reef but very rough but she enjoyed the dives and the staff of the centre seemed very friendly.
Nice bar areas with a good supply of cocktails and snacks.
The beach is tidal which leads to some interesting walks out on the reef with the local villagers. There are a few beach stalls selling paintings, etc but we were never hassled into buying anything, there are also some Maasai selling jewellery, etc at the far end of the beach by the pier.
Windsurfing is available from the hotel.
We loved this hotel for the total relaxation it gave, no loud music, games, tv, just peace and quiet.

The Breezes offers fantastic value for money. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. The food is absolutely delicious with different dining experiences on offer, from private dining in the pavilion to beachside bliss. The gardens are stupendous. Facilities perfect with a great beach club & excellent sailing & all the toys. Great spot. Perfect for children. Question veranda layout as these lack privacy if this is important to you.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a sea facing villa.

Just back from three perfect days at the Breezes Beach Club in Zanzibar, and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. The property is beautiful, with a white sand beach, tons of tropical flowers and plants, and a pool that is very mellow and nice. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, the rain shower felt good after a day at the beach, and turn-down service was nice to keep the room clean after we inevitably tracked in sand. Breezes was a perfect way to end our time in Tanzania, and if it were closer, i would go back just for more time at the beach!

We stayed 9 nights at the Breezes in Nov. 2013 - one of the best Beach Hotels we have ever been. We had a deluxe room visiting the Ocean in first row - perfect view seeing the moon rising out of the Ocean. We had the highly recommendable room 10.

We arrived after a perfect Safari from the Tansanian mainland and after a -well lets say interesting - stay in Stonetown. We were greeted by the manager - Marcus - and shown the property.A lovely perfect setting inmidst palms.

Spacious rooms and a very good service impressed us from the first moment;we needed to change the king bed with one matrass to two matrasses - no problem, done in a minute.

Super friendly staff and great food all day, even on the buffett. If you stay more than seven days the Diner themes will come around again.
On the beach you ll find the rising sun dive ctr, see my review . Its very good for diving but comparing to places like the red sea very pricy. Nevertheless its a great dive center with very friendly and caring instructors.

All in all - a great stay and we hope to return some day.

One little thing left : the wifi should not be charged , it must become free.

Room Tip: Try to get the deluxe rooms or suites, they are in the row with ocean view. Definitly worth the higher price.

Elegant but relaxed, for couples but also for families or groups of friends, for those who like doing absolutely nothing but also for the very active ones, …. All rooms are spacious and with all comforts but they are of many types so as to cater for the different needs of the people. A very beautiful beach which come and goes with the tides - I particularly love the low tide with its magic colors, the many "waterholes" and the locals using the beach as a path :-) In any case you can swim at any time, in the big swimming-pool or in the warm ocean. Best compliments to all the staff for their professional and yet warm attitude.
