Outstanding Hotel

We had the pleasure of staying at the Palms after a safari in Selous Game Reserve. The attention to detail, cheerfulness and helpfulness of the staff was second to none. The accommodation with private beachside banda was superb and the food made from primarily local ingredients was simply delicious. The management team were meticulous in their details, attending to guests needs whilst being unobtrusive. Would highly recommend and hope to come back one day.

We had an idyllic 7 night stay at The Palms after a 3 day safari in Selous game park which surpassed all our expectations. The first view of the central pool area and view out onto the beautiful turquoise ocean was breathtaking and every day was better than the last. A special thanks to Siriak and his team, the service was faultless and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay special, nothing was too much trouble. There were countless thoughtful touches which always surprised and delighted us, a particular favourite were the sundowners which were different and delicious every day.

The lodge was very spacious, beautifully clean and comfortable and felt very luxurious. The bed was also so comfortable we wanted to take the pillows home with us! Each lodge has their own private cabana at the beach which was a lovely touch and we really felt at home. The only criticism would be that although the room was lovely not all of them have a clear view of the sea from the room itself and are a little dark, unlike the sister hotel The Zawadi which is bright with sea views from your bed. That said, this compromise was worth it for the character, comfort, space and service of The Palms and all you need to do is step onto the terrace for the views. The hotel is also right on the beach whereas The Zawadi is set up higher with alot of steps to the beach. I would however recommend visiting The Zawadi for a day or two during your stay, the hotel will arrange transport and lunch (5m min drive). The Palms also benefits from being next to a couple of other sister hotels where it is possible to use the facilities (spa etc)

The food and drinks were fantastic and the meals were a real event every day. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate and we felt very much at home. Overall we wouldn't change a thing about our stay

This is a wonderful review and we thank you very much for choosing us for such a special occasion.
yes indeed; one of the great "add-ons" about staying with us at the Palms is that our guests are able to use the facilities of our sister hotels Baraza, Zawadi and Breezes and then come back home to us at Palms.
Asante sana and we all wish you a very happy future together!
Siriak.

My wife and had a wonderful stay at the Palms. The room was very nice and included a private cabana overlooking the beach but what made this place special was the service level and professionalism of the staff. The food was amazing and the staff provided the perfect level of attention. Another nice feature is guests of the Palms can take advantage of the amenities offered at Baraza (sister property next to the Palms) which we did by having dinner one evening at Baraza. Our stay at the Palms was the perfect way to end our first trip to Africa.

Recently spent 5 nights at the beach at the charming The Palms on the east coast of Zanzibar. The villas were large, clean, included air conditioning, mini-frig, and a second bedroom with bathroom. Each villa has its own private cabana at the beach. There are only 6 rooms, so it's small, private, and quiet. If you wish, access is provided to Baraza and Breezes (neighbouring properties) for dinner and water activities. The food was excellent - great variety, lots of flavour/spices, many courses, compliments to Chef William. The service is amazing - Siriak is there every day, always checking how you are doing, and if there is there anything you need. They are very accommodating for dietary needs, adjusting meal times if needed, and are focused on ensuring you have the best experience during your stay. Highly recommended!!

Had a great stay at the Palms. They went above and beyond to make our time there excellent. Food is terrific and they even cooked a fish we caught into two different dishes! We ended up spending most of our time on the resort and less time exploring Zanzibar because it was so great, and they threw in a complimentary massage for both of us as well (we ended up returning to the spa for more). Many thanks to all the staff.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. We did not want to leave at the end of our trip.

There are only 6 villas at the Palms and each villas has its own beach cabana. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The ground is beautiful. The food and drinks were delicious. The Palms is nestled between two other resorts owned by the same family, Breezes and Baraza. There is a water sports center at Breezes where all the water sports equipment and bicycles can be rented for free or with a small fee.
