We were three plus aged guests, quite fit for our ages however the 56 steps mostly on the outside of the building were a challenge for us. We were offered a change to the level below but declined it because of the view and balconies we had on the top floor. The staff were very obliging when we phoned them using our SL sim card phones, bringing drinks and other things we would normally have gone down for.
The rooms were spacious, furniture very good, bathroom fine although hot water was minimal. That can be rectified if you notify the Manager to check the settings and pump but we managed anyway.
The food was very plentiful with more toast etc being offered which is a change from other places where we encountered strict portions. No charge for that tea cup refill or second piece of toast here ! The impressive array of curries was presented each night had a surprisingly different taste to the usual Sri Lankan cuisine. Dinner selection needed to be ordered a few hours in advance.
The top floor rooms have a spacious balcony with a table and two chairs, all plastic. We enjoyed relaxing out there each evening enjoying the views with a social drink on the table. This aspect, together with the comfortable rooms and obliging staff would bring me back again, if not for the 56 steps.More
