“Good for a stop over.”

We travelled down from Bangkok and stayed here before getting a ferry to Ko Tao the following day. The location was fine, although a bike ride away from the main town (although you can eat at the resort, we just wanted to get out and explore as had got there quite early). The rooms have good facilities and are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect for one night.

I stayed here for two nights in between spending a week in Koh Samui, on my way to visiting friends in Hua Hin for one week.
There's something about this place I really liked, and I would like to stay here again. The people at Tanisa were friendly and helpful, not much English was spoken, but that's OK. All I had to ask for was breakfast, dinner and a bicycle to borrow for a couple of days, no worries at all. The resorts 2k's out of town but it's easy getting there and back
My room was nice, large enough, clean, with good working wi-fi and the swimming pool was very relaxing at the end of the day. Breakast's and dinner's in the restaurant were good too, just avoid those 'westerner' breakfasts though, but there pretty much the same everywhere in Thailand.
I found Chumphon to be a nice place to stay off the tourist trail for a couple of nights, it's a pleasant stop-over if you're going to or from the islands.

We stayed here for 1 night after our train journey from Bangkok. The room was spacious, clean and quiet.

The resort was quite a way from Chumphon centre and we had to get a lift in at night by the hotel owner for a quid. Taxis are almost none existance after a certain time in Chumphon, luckily we were able to get a lift through the bar we were in.

In the morning we were'nt expecting a breakfast but we got one for free, then he gaves us a lift to the Lomprayh office for free as well, but we gave him a tip for his troubles.

We stayed here on our overnight stop until the next ferry across to Koh Tao and we would recommend this place.

The staff are great although very little English is spoken (which is not a problem to us as travellers as why should everyone speak English) it was good fun between us all getting the gist of what we were wanting and talking about etc... and at one point as it concerned our Ferry Tickets they phones a member of staff who spoke English so we could confirm our details etc...which was very kind of them.

The room here was very large and had a pool view it had everything we needed for an over night stay.

The pool was very welcome in the very hot humid afternoon in Chumphon and we spent a good few hours here cooling down.

The bar a night was very lively (I think there was a wedding on also) and the drinks well priced.

The breakfast was great

We would choose to stay at this place if we were in Chumphon again.

Keep up the good work.

We stayed for one night on our way to bangkok to break up the trip. Its a short distance from the main centre or train station. We borrowed the free bicycles and peddled into the night markets, it took us 10 minutes and it was a hoot. We ate our way through the markets, brought our bus tickets to bangkok for the next day. As for the rooms, my gosh....what a pleasant surprise! We paid $32 australian dollars for a double room, approx. 1000 baht. The room was huge.....the bathroom enormous. Very clean, across from the pool. And best of all it was so quiet at night so we slept very well. If i had to make a complaint at all it would be the lack of english spoken by staff...but really we managed just fine....loved it. Oh, and check out is 1pm....score!

We stayed here for only night before going across to the West side. Tanisa Resort is a lovely hotel with great, spotless rooms, really friendly staff and excellent value for money. We loved the bathroom!

It is a bit out of town, but therefore really quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. The owner and family were so nice, they took us into town and also picked us up when we wanted to come back. This was amazing, just could not fault them. Also, they helped us booking the trip over to Koh Phayam, everything was perfectly arranged the next day. As we had to leave early the next morning before their normal breakfast time at 6:30 am, the staff knocked on our door and stood there with two big trays with breakfast so we would not miss out before we left. This was so very kind, unbelievable. Then the owner even took us to the meeting point for our minibus.

Chumphon has an excellent street food night market and afterwards try "Salsa Hostel" on the main road for sitting out on the street with a cold beer watching the world go by, great place belonging to the family of Tanisa's owner.

Without a doubt we would return to Tanisa Resort!

We discovered this place on a stop over between Bangkok and Phuket. Great value, beautiful rooms, nice pool, wonderful staff. While on a 3 week vacation it was our favorite hotel. Not much to do in the area, but if your looking for a good place to relax overnight, no place could be better than this for the price, we stayed again on our way back to Bangkok.
