Always stayed here on our way south with my family when I was growing up. It's absolutely lovely and delightful. Always made to feel welcome and great advice on local places to eat and visit whilst we were in the area. Breakfasts were always delicious.

I think my parents are still in touch so thought it was about time I got round to posting a review!!

Ignore the travel dates-it wouldn't leet me post without it!

Traveling to the Burgundy region of France and experiencing fine wine and food is easy enough to accomplish. Traveling to the Burgundy region of France and experiencing hospitality of the best kind is another matter altogether. Fortunately, for us, we were able to savour both.

Les Tilleuls, located in Epernay-sous-Gevrey, a mere ½ hour drive from Dijon, exuded all the charm, hospitality and friendliness that one would expect to match the utter beauty of the area. Pam and Neil Aitkins, transplanted from Bonny Scotland, are the owners of Les Tilleuls, and it is apparent at once that we were going to enjoy ourselves. We were not merely visitors or tourists to one of the most beautiful regions in France – we were cherished guests in Pam and Neil’s home, and that came across in many ways!

Our room was pristine in its cleanliness and magnificent in the view we had of a small village’s clear and crisp night sky which we were able to savour from our attached balcony. While our room was the only one with a balcony, the other rooms which we were able to glance into were as tastefully set up and clean beyond any expectations. The bathroom was large and contained a spacious and modern shower.

Breakfast, which is included, is typical continental, but filling and very good. In addition, Pam and Neil can sell you a number of different wines from the regions at better prices than you can find in many of the stores in the area. Their knowledge of the area is second to none and they can direct you to any number of different attractions and restaurants that are within a 30 minute drive.

Our stay was regrettably short (only 3 nights), but this is one situation that will be rectified on our next trip there. Pam and Neil are the ultimate hosts, a fact that is supported by the care they provide to their guests and the pride they show in their B&B. Your stay with them will more than round out your travels to that very special wine region in France.

We stayed here for a night en-route to the south of France in Aug '14 and it was so good we booked for the way home too - we feel very lucky to have found this wonderful B&B. The rooms were beautifully decorated, fresh and spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. We had a great family room on the way down and 2x doubles on the way home - all rooms and bathrooms were of a high standard and wonderfully comfortable. Pam and Neil were lovely kind hosts and very sweet to our children. The breakfast was delicious with fresh bread, croissants and Pam's beautiful freshly home made jams. We had a really good evening meal on both trips at a nearby hotel and Pam and Neil are very happy to help with recommendations there too. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough and will certainly use again.

We spent one night at Les Tilleuls in a family room on the drive back to the Eurotunnel after holidaying in the French Alps.

Les Tilleuls is situated about 5.5 hrs drive from the tunnel in a very peaceful village within a short drive of 'la Route des Grands Crus'.

We shared a spotless, newly decorated room which was very comfortable for a family of four with modern en suite.

Pam and Neil were delightful hosts - offering lots of information to help us during our short stay. A lovely continental breakfast (hot choccie for the kids) and we left feeling refreshed and ready for the final stage of our journey home. Highly recommended.

We stayed here in June and couldn't have been more pleased. The accommodations are so lovely -- beautifully decorated rooms and baths in a wonderful old house -- and the hosts are delightful. Pam's yummy breads and homemade jams were a treat every morning at breakfast and her lovely garden was a perfect place to enjoy a sunny afternoon. This B&B is perfectly located if you are touring the wine region. Very close to everywhere you want to be, but far enough outside the bustle to take advantage of the beautiful countryside. Neil and Pam (the owners) are so welcoming and attuned to guests' needs. We will most certainly return to this little gem of an inn!
