We are two couples from the United States that traveled in France In May 2014. We stayed in the 2 bedroom house. It was perfect for us. The grounds are so amazingly beautiful and Patricia and Brice are extremely helpful and friendly. We were easy walking distance from restaurants, a small grocery store and ,most importantly, a great bakery. We could walk to Cheverny Chateau and an easy drive to several others. I would definitely recommend Le Beguinage.

Me and my daughter had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Le Beguinage in all aspects. We definitely love that. Le Beguinage is much more beautiful that the photos can show. The only thing we did not like was that our room had only bathtub and no shower (but this is not a fault, just the owners choice). We would return to this Chambre d'Hôtes

We have just returned from another fabulous visit - actually our 10th year visiting - what has become our second wonderful home with Patricia and Brice our dear friends, the very special owners of Le Beguinage.

Our welcome as usual was so warm and homely, bedrooms and part of the main building have been beautifully re decorated, with amazing French furniture, fabulous fabrics and incredible tiled flooring and so in keeping with this beautiful, restful, comfortable perfect holiday retreat. We were lucky enough to stay in chamber verte, overlooking the stunning garden and pond. A bright warm sunny room, cosy with tea making facilities and very tasty biscuits! a t.v. is provided which is very welcome for relaxing in the evening... very comfortable double bed, with crisp white linen and lovely throws and traditional French furniture so in keeping with this lovely room. En suite shower room, spotless in every way with cosy towels.

Breakfasts are superb Patricia makes her own jams, buys yoghurts from a local farm, makes tea, coffee and hot chocolate.. it is difficult to choose what to have so stay a few days so you can try all the beverages! freshly baked croissants, fresh bread from the bakery and cakes are offered and are home made again by Patricia, ask for her amazing spice cake and apple cake! fresh fruit and cereals. It is a very convivial time, where all the guests sit together and talk about their time in the Loire, their visits the previous day and where they are going so it is very interesting and a wonderful experience. Patricia and Brice offer a wealth of knowledge and are happy to guide you through where to visit and what you should not miss during your stay here.

A lovely day out or half a day is to hire a bike from Le Beguinage and cycle from there to some of
the beautiful places in and around, stop for a picnic and return very happy!

Le Beguinage is within walking distance of Cour Cheverny village which has restaurants, bars, a small supermarket, pharmacy, bank, florist and other facilities. It is a lovely walk to Cheverny Chateau, again more restaurants and tea parlours near to the Chateau. It is also within easy driving distance of Blois which is a beautiful town on the banks of the Loire, a must is the old town, sit and while away time in one of the many bars/restaurants in this lovely place. Many other Chateaus are also within easy driving distance as is Amboise again a must to visit, Montrichard, Tours and many others.

We cannot wait to return to this lovely place and to the Loire. Patricia and Brice thank you.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, overlook the fabulous garden and are all very relaxing, there are rooms suitab...

This was a most delightful stay. We made our base for the chateaux at Chambord, Blois, Chenonceau, Cheverny, Amboise and Chaumont, and the village of Montrichard. And we drove past others which we would love to have visited if we only had had the time. Our hosts are friendly but not obtrusive, and the room with en suite was spacious, comfortable and elegantly furnished. Breakfast had lovely treats made in house. Truly a memorable stay.

We spent three nights in this B&B, probably the best of our entire trip to France. The room is big and the B&B has a huge park, it's really relaxing. you can enjoy breakfast outside in the garden with a variety of homemade cakes, jams plus the normal croissant and bread almost all B&B serves in France. Normal but very good. Cour Cheverny is pretty small place, few restaurants and a tiny market but it's centrally located to visit three Castles: Blois, Cheverny and Chambord. We went to Blois for dinner which is the biggest town in the area and just 15 min by car. if you like quietness and don't mind driving, I strongly recommend this B&B instead of staying in a hotel in Blois.

Room Tip: we picked up the green room, it's pretty big and with a nice bathroom but all rooms were nice.

My wife & I stayed for three nights on the way back home from further south in France, and wished we could have stayed longer.
Patricia (we never got to meet her husband) is absolutely charming, she made us really welcome, couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting places to visit and to eat, and served us some delicious home made cakes and preserves with our breakfast.
The property is lovely, our room was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The place also has beautiful grounds, surprisingly large with lawns and a large pond, and somewhere delightful to sit with a glass of something after a hard day visiting chateaux.
A really great place to stay, and well located for exploring this part of the Loire.
