“Disapointing - Décevant”
Reviewed 5 September 2010

The too positive comments do not reflect the reality. Indeed, we choose this accomodation because of its price, location and facilities but were rather disappointed. Location : near a road with traffic starting early in the morning. Breakfast : boring, croissant were served burnt (black), fruit were green and hard like a rock. Facilities: the swimming pool is not cleaned, not heated, and you have to climb a small wall to reach it. Nothing like on the photos. The rooms : nothing special but too many rooms (around 15), no privacy (thin wall), can be noisy if people arrive late. The owner tend to police everyone in an unfreindly manner (do not run, do not eat food that hasn't been purchased on the premises, etc.).
---

On arrival the ambiance looks very promising and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Beautifully arranged courtyards with a relaxing peaceful and calm atmosphere .
The excellent swimming pool is thoiughtfully located a few moments away from the main buidings in its own rural setting
Air conditioned bedrooms ,comfortable beds, luxurious shower rooms ,with extra heating facilities, if required in winter, and ample en-suite wardrobe space make the experience complete.
Although there is no dining service on saturdays and sundays (hence 4 not 5 stars for service) we were quickly booked into a good restaurant in town which was within a reasonable walking distance.
This was our last stay on the 'Raid de Pyrenees' and by far the best place we stayed at throughout our Pyreneean adventure.
Highly recommendable and worth making a special effort to book for a complete relaxing holiday

Relaxation , luxury and friendliness all rolled into one. We were just going to use this as a base to tour round but the rooms service and food were so good we returned at the end of our tour and will be going again this year as well. Rooms are spotless and
they do a 3 course meal at night with wine which is excellent value. English is spoken excellently.

We are using this hotel on many occaisions, travelling from Holland to Spain vise versa!
It lies nicely in the middle of this trip just before the border enterring Spain. It has a very nice and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is situated partly in an old building but totally renewed and modern style. If you book early, they will prepare you a nice dinner. The rooms are clean and modern with a good bathroom vacility. The pool during the summer gives excellent pleasure after your trip. Situated just 8km from the highway and in the middle of a nice winery area. Dogs are warmly greated by Andreas and Mario.
We will keep coming back! Free Internet available.

Lovely modern bathroom with a very spacious shower.
The bed is great but the bedding could be more 'snuggly'.
Our room had a door leading out onto a mini-vineyard with access to the pool.

Welcoming,efficient and helpful staff.
Beautifully situated about 2mn from Thuir, in amongst the Pyreenese Orientale and it's vineyards.
Spacious bedrooms with delicious breakfast included in price.

Without doubt somewhere we would go again.
