“Relaxed stay in luxuruous Domaine with fantastic garden and pool”
Reviewed 14 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We traveled with our 2 daughters, 6 and 9, and stayed in Le Catalan, a spacious apartment with upstairs 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom with bath and shower combined. Downstairs there is the large living/kitchen. Kitchen very well equipped, we like to cook and we never missed something in the kitchen. All rooms have high ceilings. Our daughters loved to play in the garden, which is a very mature old garden with large trees and nice flowers. The trees give good shade for the children when playing around. The pool area is all day very sunny and the pool is really large and very beautifull. The pool is never crowded.

We had a really good and relaxed time. You are very central in the Languedoc, away from all the crowded places, but within close reach to the beaches and a lot of historical places.

We can highly recommended this place.

“Lovely stay and made to feel very welcome”
Reviewed 23 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I stayed here with my wife, mother and 3 year old son for 4 nights in mid-June, 2015 as we were attending a wedding in nearby Pezenas. Everything was straightforward with the booking and we had good communication with the Jorge and Ania (the owners) prior to our arrival. They gave us directions from the airport and offered to pick up some provisions for us as we were arriving after the majority of supermarkets had closed. This, along with the wine they left for us (their own brand!), was much appreciated when we finally arrived. We were met upon arrival and given a brief tour of the beautiful property before being left to unpack and settle in. One of the main reasons I looked at St. Ferreol was the opportunity for my son to run around and play within the grounds while my mum looked after him as we were away all day on the Saturday attending a wedding. This worked out perfectly as the extensive facilities proved to be everything my son could wish for. He had the time of his life and slept well the whole time we were there.
The accommodation is centred around a main courtyard with several different villas/apartments. Outside of the main building but within the grounds there was also a large grassed area with an ornate pond housing several varieties of fish, a play area with a playhouse, climbing frame, large trampoline and table tennis table. Gated off and to the rear of the playground was the delightful swimming pool which we used as much as we could in the short time we were there. Is was immaculately maintained and very refreshing when the sun was shining. We were limited to the amount of time we spent there but I believe there are other activities you can pursue on or near the grounds such as walks and fishing.
We stayed in 'La Catalan' (two bedrooms, one double, one twin room) which had a lovely feel to it and was very well presented and equipped. We ate either at the ample dining table or in the small outside patio area and the kitchen had everything we needed. We brought a few things with us but most of what we consumed was purchased from the local supermarket which was approx. 5 minutes drive away.
The resident dogs, although big were very friendly and I personally never felt my son was in any danger, just in case you are concerned about this. The only other point to note is that in reality you will need a car to stay here if you have any intention of getting around. It may seem obvious to seasoned South of France travellers but to the uninitiated (like me) there are few pavements/sidewalks outside of the towns and villages, thus necessitating a car.
To sum up. Extremely welcoming hosts, beautiful accommodation and grounds with plenty to do. Also a great base from which to do as much or as little as you like. We also felt it would be ideal for a larger gathering, perhaps an extended family gathering. Should the opportunity arise then we would certainly consider it in future.
