Fun place, very friendly service, food well above average,Wine a bit pricy, 15 euros for house rose seemed a bit steep, Seemed to be very popular with the french as well as the visitors

“Lovely place to eat”

Great food, we went on a BBQ evening. Very friendly staff and well thought out play area for little ones. As a family of 6 it was also great value.

“Good enough for quick meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

Quaint outside eating area but food average. Was very busy however and is apparently very popular with the English speaking community so maybe better if you are staying for a few drinks.

“A cosy nook perched on a hill”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2013

What this restaurant has that is unique in its class is both cosy inside seating for those cooler times and scenic outdoor seating with the option of sun or shade. When we visited the staff were speaking both French and English. We have eaten there at lunch times in the past but this was our first time there for an evening meal. The clientele mostly consisted of holidaymakers from the UK, some of whom were staying in nearby gites and who had made this their 'local'. The menu consisted of things like duck, steak, steak tartare, fish, gambas & tartiflette - with a choice of salads and there were classic desserts like creme brulee. The wine list was mostly local and a good range, correctly priced. We opted for a bottle of Graves de Vayres as we'd had this before and enjoyed it - splendid value at 14€ for a 75cl bottle. Our choice for the main course was steak 'a point' (always difficult to get this tender) in pepper sauce with chips and a side salad. The chips were deliciously dry and crispy and the salad freshly green and dressed for summer. The meal was copious so apart from espressos to finish off the evening we couldn't manage a dessert but what we saw going to the table beside ours looked very good. Restaurants with this kind of cosy ambience are difficult to find. Good value for money.
